明和3年戌年（1766年）2月26日 津軽出羽守殿の領分で地震が発生し、
被害状況等について以下の通り老中方へ報告された由
一、城内の櫓が5か所破損、そのうち7か所が破損※、堀の柵が各所で倒壊
一、城内の住居が各所で破損
一、倒壊した堂が27か所、寺が33か所
一、武士屋敷・町・在郷合わせて倒壊家屋が6,940軒
一、倒壊した土蔵および焼失した土蔵合わせて267棟
一、武士屋敷・町・在郷合わせて焼失家屋が252軒
一、圧死者 1,027人

Meiwa 3, Year of the Earth Dog (1766), 2nd month, 26th day: Due to an earthquake in the domain of Lord Tsugaru Dewa-no-kami, the following damage was reported to the Council of Elders:
1. Five watchtowers in the castle were damaged, with seven locations damaged*, moat fencing collapsed in various places
1. Residential quarters within the castle suffered damage in various locations
1. Twenty-seven halls collapsed, thirty-three temples collapsed
1. A total of 6,940 houses collapsed including samurai residences, town houses, and rural dwellings
1. Two hundred sixty-seven storehouses collapsed or were lost to fire
1. Two hundred fifty-two houses burned down including samurai residences, town houses, and rural dwellings
1. Deaths from crushing: 1,027 people
