一 烈祖成績に云う。慶長四年、長子権中納言利勝封を襲ぎ、加賀・越中を領す。能登守利政は能登を領す。東遷基業にて関原大全を引いて曰く、利勝は従三位中納言に任じ、大老職となる。利政は四位下侍従に叙せられ、能登守となる。蓋し能登守は誤聞なり。

その許、無心元に存じ候いて、度々飛脚を以て申し入れ候処、御注進状、本望の至りに候。殊に大正寺を乗り崩され、始め山口父子数多討ち捕らえられし由、潔き御事に候。先々小山まで御帰陣の由、尤もに候。猶後音の時を期し候。恐々謹言

Although the above articles are disagreeable to my heart, since matters are forgotten over time when conveyed only orally, I submit this written record. In all matters, when I pass away, maintaining proper spirit is essential, hence this document. The above.

To Lord Hashiba Hizen-no-kami
One item: The "Illustrious Ancestor's Achievements" states: In Keichō 4th year, the eldest son Gon-chūnagon Toshikatsu succeeded to the domain and governed Kaga and Etchū. Noto-no-kami Toshimasa governed Noto. In the "Eastern Migration Foundation" account of the great victory at Sekigahara, it says that Toshikatsu was appointed to Junior Third Rank Chūnagon and became a senior councilor, while Toshimasa was promoted to Junior Fourth Rank Jijū and became Noto-no-kami. However, "Noto-no-kami" is likely a misheard error.
One item: In the 8th month of Keichō 5th year, when the second-generation Lord Toshinaga deployed as part of the Eastern forces and captured Daishōji Castle in Kaga Province, a copy of Tokugawa Naifu's letter of commendation:
I have been concerned about your situation and have sent messengers repeatedly. Your report brings me the greatest satisfaction. In particular, your conquest of Daishōji and the initial capture of the Yamaguchi father and son along with many others was an admirable achievement. I understand you have returned to camp at Oyama for now, which is most appropriate. I look forward to hearing from you again. With utmost respect and reverence.
