【解法】
三十三番目の賽銭を求めるには、まず四文（3番目の賽銭）を左右に置いて掛け合わせると十六となる。これが五番目の賽銭である。これを左右に置いて掛け合わせると二百五十六となる。これが九番目の賽銭である。これを左右に置いて掛け合わせると六万五千五百三十六となる。これが十七番目の賽銭である。これを左右に置いて掛け合わせると四兆二千九百四十九億六千七百二十九万六となる。これが三十三番目の賽銭である。これを二倍して八兆五千八百九十三億四千五百九十二となる。その中から一を引いた残り（百以上の部分）を九分六厘で割り、八百九十四万七千八百四十八貫五百三十文
一文となる。これが賽銭の総数である。また百以下の端数も九分六厘で割り、十二匁をかければ総銀高となる。
