尚々先便ニ茂書面可差上候処色々取紛無其茂
連年御用捨可被下候
一筆啓上し追々暖気ニ相成候処
一は御地 御家内衆中様
益堅勝之由奉御無候節 少候共
出立寄彼是御厚情被成候段
何共難有仕合ニ存奉候扨道中
無難ニて御上出敷節夫ゟ段々
御尊父様ニ始下残迄御用向之茂
相窺先日日掛合之処彼是惣方
仕候江共未々取極候儀ニ無御座候右ニ付
帰国之義者逸頃ニ可被成威難斗

なお、前回の便りでも書面を差し上げるべきところ、色々と取り込んでおりその義もなく、連年のご容赦をお願い申し上げます。
一筆啓上いたします。だんだんと暖かくなってまいりましたが、お元気でいらっしゃることと存じます。こちらではご家内の皆様方もますますお健やかとのこと、何よりに存じ上げます。少しばかりでも出立の際にあれこれとご厚情を賜り、誠にありがたい仕合せに存じ奉ります。さて道中も無事で江戸に上り、それより段々とご尊父様をはじめ皆様まで、ご用向きの件を相談し、先日来掛け合いしておりますところ、あれこれ総方面で尽力いたしておりますが、まだまだ決着する件ではございません。これにつき帰国の義は、いつ頃になるか見当もつきかねます。しかしながら当月中には何とか情報の掛け合いを済ませ、帰国いたしたく存じております。右の段、ご家内ご一同様へよろしくお伝えください。右申し上げ、また詳細は帰国の上で申し上げます。

I humbly write to you. The weather is gradually becoming warmer, and I trust you are in good health. Here, your family members are all increasingly in good health, which I am most pleased to hear. Even if only a little, I received various kindnesses when I departed, which I consider a truly grateful blessing. The journey proceeded safely, and I arrived in Edo. From there, I have been gradually consulting with your esteemed father and everyone else regarding the business matters. I have been negotiating since the other day, and although I am making efforts on all fronts, these are not yet matters that can be settled. Regarding my return home, I cannot predict when it might be. However, I hope to complete the information exchanges within this month and return home. Please convey this to all your family members. I state this here, and will provide details upon my return home.
