一蚕種之儀去々亥年御趣法被相立候処御趣意ニ付同暮被相止候然処不宜種
共入交売弘候趣ニ而蚕飼相励候者共致迷惑候類も有之趣ニ付今般右名前
之者共右証人を以趣法相立精誠致吟味上種ニ仕立直段等引下ケ御国内
相弘度旨願ニ付為試願之通被仰付候
一在々蚕売弘候売子共右元方之者共支配ニ被仰付是迄渡世ニ致来候者
共へ厳重締方申渡提札相渡前々之場所々々へ相廻筈ニ候間右提札致吟味
相求可申候尤以後提札無之売子共ゟ相求申間敷候
一蚕種売弘所之儀ハ御城下木田中町魚屋喜三郎与申者方ニ会所相立置
候間右会所ニ而勝手次第相求可申事
右之通相心得候様支配下へ不洩様可被申渡候

○一代限御先箱持四人御趣意ニ付御暇被下組株金ハ被下置候御先箱持之儀ハ

一御広敷書役当分六人ニ相成候事 案スルニ今日書役両人減
一御出居番向後四人ニ而相勤其余ハ被相減候事
一御小人之儀ハ来年ゟ御国御広敷御小人共廿四人之内ゟ六人ツヽ相詰御住居勤増御小人八人之内ゟ
四人ツヽ相詰外ニ荒子之内ゟ壱人取人いたし都合詰高拾壱人被相成候事
一同仕丁拾八人之内八人ニ相減向後拾人ニ而相勤右減人八人ハ平日小遣相勤非常并

証人 中山村 平左衛門 為寄村 伝左衛門
一、蚕種の件について、一昨年亥年に御趣法が相立てられたところ、御趣意により同年暮れに相止められた。ところが不良な種が混じって売り広められているため、蚕飼いに励んでいる者たちが迷惑している状況もあるとのことで、今回右記の名前の者たちが右証人を以て趣法を相立て、精誠に吟味を行い上質の種に仕立て直し値段等を引き下げて御国内に広めたいとの願いにより、試験的に願いの通り仰せ付けられた。
一、在々で蚕を売り広めている売子たちを右元方の者たちの支配に仰せ付け、これまで生業としてきた者たちへは厳重な締め方を申し渡し、提札を相渡して前々の場所々々へ回る筈であるから、右提札を吟味して求めるべきである。もっとも今後は提札の無い売子たちから求めてはならない。
一、蚕種売り広めの場所の件は、御城下木田中町魚屋喜三郎と申す者の方に会所を相立て置いているので、右会所にて勝手次第に求めることができる。
右の通り心得るよう支配下へ漏れなく申し渡すべきである。
八月二十五日 府中へも御奉行より
江戸にて 御供頭
○一代限り御先箱持四人、御趣意により御暇を下され、組株金は下し置かれた。御先箱持の件は前々の通り御小人の内より相勤めるよう仰せ付けられた。 七月二十七日
一、渡り御駕の者、これまで六人のところ二人に御暇を下され、向後四人に仰せ付けられた。これにより御国抱え御駕の者六人のところ、二人を相増して八人に仰せ付けられた。 同二十九日
江戸にて 御広敷御用人
一、御広敷書役、当分六人になった。案ずるに今日書役両人減。
一、御出居番、向後四人にて相勤め、その余は相減された。
一、御小人の件は来年より御国御広敷御小人ども二十四人の内より六人ずつ相詰め、御住居勤め増御小人八人の内より四人ずつ相詰め、外に荒子の内より一人取り入れて、都合詰め高十一人とされた。
一、同じく仕丁十八人の内八人に相減し、向後十人にて相勤め、右減人八人は平日小遣いを相勤め、非常並びに御出殿の節、菊姫様・謹姫様仕丁代わりとして右八人並びに小遣いの内より二人、都合十人にて相勤めるため、毎月一人へ昼飯七つずつを下される。
ただし小遣いども五人にて御間に合わないため、右仕丁減人八人が平日小遣いを相勤めることにより、都合三十三人高になった。
右の通り申し渡すべきである。

1. Regarding silkworm seeds, a management system was established in the year before last (Year of the Boar), but was discontinued at the end of that year according to official policy. However, since inferior seeds have been mixed in and sold widely, causing distress to those engaged in silkworm raising, the aforementioned individuals have petitioned to establish a management system with the above witnesses, conduct sincere inspections, improve the seeds to high quality, reduce prices, and spread them throughout the domain. As a trial, this petition has been approved.
1. Vendors selling silkworms in rural areas shall be placed under the control of the aforementioned administrators. Those who have made this their livelihood until now shall receive strict regulatory instructions and be given identification tags to circulate to their previous locations. These identification tags must be inspected before making purchases. Henceforth, purchases shall not be made from vendors without identification tags.
1. Regarding silkworm seed sales locations, a trading post has been established at the residence of one called Kizaburo, a fishmonger in Kitanaka-cho in the castle town. Purchases may be made at this trading post as desired.
The above shall be communicated without omission to all subordinates.

1. Inner palace clerks have been reduced to six persons for the time being. It appears that today two clerks were reduced.
1. Audience chamber attendants shall henceforth serve with four persons, and the remainder have been reduced.

Regarding lower attendants, from next year six persons each shall serve in rotation from among the twenty-four domain inner palace lower attendants, four persons each shall serve in rotation from among the eight residence duty additional lower attendants, and one person shall be selected from among the newcomers, making a total rotation of eleven persons.
1. Similarly, among eighteen servants, eight have been reduced, and henceforth ten shall serve. The eight reduced personnel shall serve as errand boys on ordinary days, and during emergencies and when going to the palace, as substitutes for Princess Kiku and Princess Tsutsuji's servants—these eight plus two from among the errand boys, totaling ten persons shall serve.
