○去月廿三日御家督無御相違被蒙仰難有思召候此段可申渡旨被仰出渋谷権左衛門
片山平七被指越候各可有恐悦候 尤御代々御条目之通相守相勤候様被仰付候

○貞照院様御事御実母様之御取扱被成進候依之御振合御方々様ニ准シ以来
御機嫌状ニ御名書加様之字様ニ相成候事

○御城下呉服太物古手屋共相願候ハ先年仲間〆り方之儀願申上御免札等被下置候処
又々此上之御慈悲を以仲間軒数弐百弐拾株ニ御定株札御改被成下候様左候ハヽ為冥加毎
年銀拾枚ツヽ永々上納仕度旨願出指出候処先今明年願之通御免被成冥加銀之儀ハ差

○去る月二十三日、御家督に相違なく仰せを蒙り、難有き思召しの段、申し渡すべき旨が仰せ出され、渋谷権左衛門、片山平七が指し越された。各々恐悦すべきである。もっとも御代々の御条目の通り相守り勤めるよう仰せ付けられた。

○御城下の呉服太物古手屋共が相願うには、先年仲間締り方の儀を願い申し上げ、御免札等を下し置かれたところ、また再びこの上の御慈悲をもって仲間軒数二百二十株に御定株札の御改めを成し下されるよう、左候えば冥加のため毎年銀十枚ずつ永々上納いたしたき旨を願い出て差し出したところ、先ず今明年は願いの通り御免成され、冥加銀の儀は差し

To all samurai retainers
○Regarding last month's 23rd day, [the lord] received the appointment to family headship without incident, and this gracious decision was announced to be conveyed. Shibuya Gonzaemon and Katayama Heishichi were dispatched [to convey this message]. Everyone should be filled with joy and gratitude. Furthermore, [you are] ordered to faithfully observe and serve according to the hereditary house rules.

○The kimono fabric and secondhand clothing merchants of the castle town have petitioned as follows: In previous years they petitioned regarding guild organization matters and received official permits, but now they again request that through [your] further benevolence, the guild membership be fixed at 220 licensed establishments and new membership certificates be issued. In return, they wish to contribute 10 pieces of silver annually in perpetuity as a tribute offering.
