○当年御帰国以来御本丸御住居ニ付別紙之通相心得御留守居へも心得ニ相成候儀
相申聞并与力へも御申渡可有之候

一御本丸御館外御郭ニ拘候儀ハ御在国たり共御城代取扱候事
一式日或ハ武芸御覧等ニ而是迄御本丸へ御移被遊候節ニ御城代并御留守居
御間所見分有之候へ共以来不及見分事
一御在国中正月御祈祷執行之節見廻りニ不及御留守居も昼夜共不及罷
出候事 但与力も不及罷出事

一御帰城前御掃除出来見分之節御城代御留守居是迄之通出勤候事
一武芸御覧之節是迄之通出勤之事
一御城下失火等非常之節御在国ニ而も御本丸裏手通御城代并与力組之者

一御本丸へ被為入候節ハ是迄御城代与力壱人ツヽ相詰候へ共以来不及罷出事

○着城御発駕並びに節句月次御礼等を一統に受けられる際の退出の件について、これまで甚だ混雑している様子であると聞いている。今般御本丸御住居となった上は、面々心得るべき事があるが、なお一層混雑せず不敬がないよう、それぞれ申し聞かせるべきである。
四月五日
御城代
○当年御帰国以来、御本丸御住居につき、別紙の通り心得て、御留守居へも心得となる件を申し聞かせ、与力へも申し渡すべきである。

一、御着城当日から御発駕まで、御本丸御館内の件は御用人が取り扱うこと
一、御本丸御館外の御郭に関わる件は、御在国であっても御城代が取り扱うこと
一、式日或いは武芸御覧等でこれまで御本丸へお移りになった際に、御城代並びに御留守居が御間所見分を行っていたが、今後は見分に及ばないこと
一、御在国中正月御祈祷執行の際の見回りに及ばず、御留守居も昼夜共に出向く必要がないこと ただし与力も出向く必要がないこと
一、御在国中御本丸御館内の御城代御留守居の通行は、これまで通りのこと

○Regarding the departure procedures when the lord receives audiences for castle arrival and departure, as well as seasonal and monthly ceremonies: we have heard that there has been considerable confusion up to now. Now that residence has been established in the main keep, each person should understand their duties, but furthermore, everyone should be instructed to avoid confusion and prevent any disrespect.

Castle Deputy (Jōdai)
○Since this year's return to the domain and residence in the main keep, the following should be understood as per the attached document, and these matters should be communicated to the caretaker officials and conveyed to the yoriki as well.

1. From the day of castle arrival until departure, matters within the main keep residence shall be handled by the chamberlains
1. Matters concerning the outer baileys beyond the main keep residence shall be handled by the castle deputy even when the lord is in residence in the domain
1. On ceremonial days or when viewing martial arts, when the lord previously moved to the main keep, the castle deputy and caretaker officials would inspect the rooms, but henceforth such inspection is unnecessary
1. During New Year prayers while the lord is in the domain, rounds are unnecessary, and caretaker officials need not appear day or night; likewise yoriki need not appear
1. Passage of the castle deputy and caretaker officials within the main keep residence while the lord is in the domain shall remain as before
1. For inspection of cleaning completion before the lord's return to the castle, the castle deputy and caretaker officials shall attend as before
1. For martial arts viewing, attendance shall be as before
1. In emergencies such as fires in the castle town, even when the lord is in the domain, the castle deputy and yoriki group members may pass through the rear passages of the main keep without hindrance
1. When the castle deputy has official business, the passage of yoriki through the front approaches within the residence shall be as before
1. When entering the main keep, previously one castle deputy yoriki each would be stationed, but henceforth they need not appear
1. At Kawara Gate, previously when retainers attended duty and during martial arts viewing and prayers, castle deputy yoriki served guard duty, but henceforth guard duty is exempted, and on such occasions they shall be stationed at the castle deputy yoriki post within Kawara Gate
1. Castle deputy yoriki and group members shall pass through castle gates and other locations as before
