火之元之儀は前々御触有之世上
普ク心得居候儀ニは候得共下賎之もの
程守り方疎カ故時々出火等も有之
殊更烈風之折柄出火いたし候得は消防
之術無之忽大火ニ及候段は眼前
人々心得居候儀ニ而右は天災抔と申
候得共実は一夫之過失ゟ生し候儀ニ付
烈風之節は町方之もの商売相休
火之元之一途を相守り候様ニ無之候而は
迚も難行届右は難儀之様には
候得共万一大火等ニ相成候得は銘々

火の元の件については、以前から御触れがあり、世間では広く心得ているところではありますが、身分の低い者ほど守り方が疎かであるため、時々出火などもあります。
特に強風の折に出火した場合は、消防の手段がなく、たちまち大火に及ぶことは、皆が目の前で心得ていることです。
