　下賎之もの程心得方薄キものニ付
　朝暮ニ無怠慢親之子ニ教る様ニ
　申聞候はねは不行届事ニ付其辺之
　儀真実ニ可申諭候
一文政度申渡置候掟書は張出し置候
　儀は勿論度々店々之ものえ為読聞
　候様可致候
右之通申聞置間火之元之儀は其方共
勤労第一と相心得能々申合精々
行届候様厚世話いたし可申候

右之趣惣町々名主并月行事持之
分は組合之ものゟ不洩様可申通事

現代語訳

身分の低い者ほど心得が浅いものであるから、朝晩に怠ることなく、親が子に教えるように申し聞かせなければ行き届かないことになるので、その点について真実に申し諭すこと。

一、文政年間に申し渡し置いた掟書は張り出しておくことは言うまでもなく、度々店々の者たちに読み聞かせるようにすること。

以上のように申し聞かせ置くので、火の元の件についてはそなたたちの勤労が第一と心得、よくよく申し合わせて精々行き届くように厚く世話をするべきである。

右の趣旨を総町々の名主並びに月行事の持ち分については、組合の者から漏れのないように申し通すこと。

The above points should be communicated without omission by group members to all town headmen (nanushi) and monthly officials (tsukigyōji) within their respective jurisdictions.
