The Ōuchi group had nine houses, but not a single one remained, with fifty-three people dead. Many other craftsmen also died, leaving only one person alive in the entire village. Orimura Arai group had thirteen houses with fifty-seven people, but not a single person survived. The Fugan-in temple in Nenbutsu Temple Village was a rare large temple within the domain territory, but it fell into the valley and was buried under earth after being burned. The vicinity of this village was all destroyed and buried under earth. There are many such places in the mountains, but the details are not clear.
Regarding the flooding of the Sai River
At Tanba Island ferry, upstream at the border between Sarashina and Minochi counties, near Minochi Bridge, at a place called Iwamura, a landslide occurred and filled up a valley several tens of jō deep.

Additionally, at Aniwa Village and another village, landslides occurred at two locations, filling valleys and blocking rapid streams, causing water to accumulate for several days. As a result, dozens of villages including Shimmachi Village, Hokari Village, and Makinoshima Village were buried in the mountains, houses floated, and water accumulated deep in the valleys, extending approximately eight to nine ri. Officials were dispatched from the domain territory to provide assistance. Strict orders were given to the villages in the Kawanakajima area, and preparations were made to build large embankments with stone-filled straw bags for emergency disaster prevention. Each household built huts at nearby locations - to the west at Mount Komatsubara and Mount Okada, to the east at Mount Saijō, Mount Hoshina, and Nonaka - putting the elderly in front, bringing wives and children, carrying rice, miso, and other provisions. Two or three watchmen were left from each village to organize how to proceed. Due to this commotion, the post station relay system was disrupted at Yashiro Station and Echigo
