国土をおさめふつくはをまもらせ給ふと かやされにや天しとは天の使とかくと かやそのゝち中納言殿たんこたしまはほん 国なれはあんとの御判たまはりて        有かたし〳〵と            三度頂戴               なされ             やかたに                かへり

現代語訳

国土を治め仏法を守らせ給うとかやされにや。天子とは天の使いと書くとかや。その後、中納言殿、丹後但馬は本国なれば安堵の御判を賜わりて、       ありがたし々々と            三度頂戴               なされ、             屋形に                帰り

英語訳

It is said that [the Emperor] governs the country and protects the Buddhist teachings. "Tenshi" (Son of Heaven) is written as "messenger of heaven," so it is said. Afterwards, the Middle Counselor, [who governed] Tango and Tajima as his home provinces, received an imperial seal of confirmation, and saying "How grateful, how grateful," received it three times with reverence, and returned to his mansion.
