一當表義去二日昼七時何のけしきも無御座候処
大地震有之一統驚き居候処引續ゆり直しと
か申らん難尽厳敷地震にて実以家潰れ此侭死る
事哉とおもひ候者斗にて生ている心持なく誠に〳〵
何れも青き顔にて候乍併御店之義は壱人も怪我人は
無御座候家蔵共無御別条全神仏の御蔭と一統

一当地の儀、去る二日昼七つ時、何の前兆もございませんでしたところ、
大地震があり、一同驚いておりましたところ、引き続き余震と
いうのでしょうか、言い尽くせないほど激しい地震で、本当に家が潰れ、このまま死ぬ
ことかと思った者ばかりで、生きている心地もなく、誠に
皆青ざめた顔をしておりました。しかしながら、お店の件は、一人も怪我人は
おりません。家蔵とも異常なく、全く神仏のご加護と一同

Regarding this locality, on the 2nd of last month at the hour of the Horse (around 12 noon), when there were no signs of anything unusual,
a great earthquake occurred, and while everyone was in shock, it continued with aftershocks—
or whatever one might call them—such indescribably severe earthquakes that truly we thought our houses would collapse and we would die
right then and there. Everyone felt as though they were not really alive, and indeed
all had pale faces. However, regarding our shop, not a single person was injured.
Both house and storehouse suffered no damage whatsoever—entirely due to the divine protection of gods and buddhas, we all
