一此度当地の大破不用易御入用に可有之何レ二も御老
中方御上京も可有之なとと風聞御座候へ共一昨日迄も
地震相止不申当時所々御祈祷被 仰出土御門家
伊勢春日の神主御所江被 召出日々御祈祷有之

一宇治川通堤ハ不残打割一向堤の形も所二寄てハ
無之場所も出来此上大雨出水二ても有之候へハ是又
大変と何とも心配仕事二御座候

御築地棟瓦大半落候二ハ破損も有之候

奉行衆も参内し、同夜明け七時に退出したということです。
一、この度当地の大破は容易に修復できず、大変な費用がかかるでしょう。いずれにしても老中方の上京もあるだろうなどと風聞がありますが、一昨日までも地震が止まず、現在所々で御祈祷が仰せ出され、土御門家、伊勢・春日の神主が御所へ召し出され、日々御祈祷が行われています。
一、宇治川通りの堤は残らず打ち割れ、全く堤の形もない場所も所によってはできており、この上大雨や出水でもあれば、これまた大変なことになると、何とも心配な事態です。

御所様方の御殿・御築地等に大破損はなく、ありがたいことです。
御築地の棟瓦は大半落ちましたが、破損もあります。
二条御城の矢倉が少々損じ、高塀の大半が破れ落ちたということです。
大仏の釣鐘が落ちたということです。石垣の大石が所々緩んで抜け出したということです。
但し御城以下、仏閣の風説は確かでありません。もっとも御城に伊予様が在藩中であれば大いに御心配でしょうが、今年の変事では御安心と存じます。

"Great earthquake at the hour of the monkey on the 2nd day of the 7th month"
Fortunately, there was no major damage to the Imperial Palace buildings, walls, etc.
Most of the roof tiles on the palace walls fell, causing some damage.
The turrets of Nijō Castle were slightly damaged, and most of the high walls collapsed.
The temple bell of the Great Buddha fell. Large stones in the stone walls loosened and came out in various places.
However, rumors about the castle and below, and about Buddhist temples, are not reliable. Of course, if Lord Iyo had been residing at the castle, it would have caused great worry, but regarding this year's disaster, I believe we can be at ease.
