一　嘉永四亥七月廿九日去ル十九日重キ御精進日
　　之心附茂無之川殺生罷越候儀ニ付遠慮被　仰付
一　同年八月八日遠慮　御免

現代語訳

一　嘉永四年（亥年）七月二十九日、去る十九日の重要な御精進日であることに気づかず、川で殺生を行ったことについて、遠慮を命じられた。
一　同年八月八日、遠慮を免除された。

英語訳

1. On the 29th day of the 7th month of Kaei 4 (year of the boar), [the retainer] was ordered to refrain from duties for having gone to the river to kill animals on the 19th, which was an important day of Buddhist abstinence, without being mindful of this fact.
1. On the 8th day of the 8th month of the same year, the restraint was lifted.
