門人が問うて言うには、「ある男子三十余歳。
生まれつき虚弱で肉が落ち、体が痩せ枯れている。常に補
中益気湯と六味丸を服用して保養して生きている。
酷暑の中、筵の上で冷たい麺を食べたところ、腹が冷えて痛み、
吐きもせず下痢もせずに悶絶した。その座に医者が三人いた。

Preface to Essential Discussions on Patient Care
A disciple asked, saying: "There is a man in his thirties.
He is constitutionally weak and emaciated, with withered flesh and dried form. He constantly takes
Hochū-ekki-tō (Center-Supplementing Qi-Boosting Decoction) and Rokumi-gan (Six-Ingredient Pill) to maintain his health and survive.
During intense heat, while sitting on a mat, he ate cold noodles, whereupon his abdomen became cold and painful.
Without vomiting or having diarrhea, he fell into agony. Three doctors were present at the scene.
