抑々富士山は人皇六代
孝安天皇の御時一夜に
あらはれたもふ御山に
して其後やまと
だけのみこと御山
をふみひらき
三国第一の
御がくをかく
せたもふまつ
る神は木の花
さくやひめの尊
れいげんあらた
なる事諸人しると
ころなり六十一年目庚
申の年には男女とも登山
いたす当年　御ゑんねん
の事なれば男女とも
さんけいくんじゆ【群集】なす
当七月中旬いこく人
ふじ山へ登山いたしたき
むね相願右いこく人ふじ
山とざんいたし候ところ
七合五勺めころに
相なりにはかにくも出る
かと見へしが風ふき出しくもの中にてわれ
こそは御山の中ころにある小みたけ石そんなり
御山は日本第一のあらたなる　れいざんなりいじんは
登山すべからずはやく下ざんいたすべしと御こへ有し

現代語訳

そもそも富士山は人皇六代孝安天皇の御代に一夜にして現れた御山であり、その後ヤマトタケルノミコトが御山を踏み開き、三国第一の御嶽を確立されたのである。祀られている神は木花咲耶姫の尊で、霊験あらたかなことは諸人の知るところである。六十一年目の庚申の年には男女ともに登山する。当年は御縁年のことなので男女ともに参詣群集をなしている。

当年七月中旬、異国人が富士山へ登山したい旨を願い出た。この異国人が富士山登山を行ったところ、七合五勺目頃で急に雲が出るかと見えたが、風が吹き出し、雲の中で「我こそは御山の中腹にある小御嶽石尊なり。御山は日本第一の霊験あらたかな霊山なり。異人は登山すべからず。早く下山いたすべし」との御声があったということである。

Mount Fuji originally appeared overnight during the reign of Emperor Koan, the sixth human emperor. Later, Prince Yamato Takeru opened up the mountain, establishing it as the foremost sacred peak among the three countries. The deity enshrined there is Princess Konohana-sakuya-hime, whose divine efficacy is well known to all people. In the sixty-first year, which is a kanoe-saru (Metal Monkey) year, both men and women climb the mountain. This year being a special sacred year, both men and women gather in crowds for pilgrimage.

In mid-July of this year, a foreigner petitioned to climb Mount Fuji. When this foreigner attempted to climb Mount Fuji, around the seventh and a half stations, clouds suddenly appeared and wind began to blow. From within the clouds came a voice saying: "I am the Stone Deity of Ko-mitake, located in the middle of this sacred mountain. This mountain is Japan's foremost sacred and spiritually efficacious peak. Foreigners must not climb it. You must descend immediately." So it is said.
