○例年御帰国前御待請共支度御修覆物を初是迄勘弁を以取扱趣ニ候得共
当年之儀ハ御勝手向至而御差支之事候間聊之儀ニ而も猶又勘弁を以御不益無之様
厚申談可取扱旨

○去春御趣意ニ付御家中諸被下之儀被相止候得共何も困窮相勤候ニ付格別之思召を以夫

○去る七日に殿中において鳥居丹波守殿を通じて、火の元の件についてこの時期は特に注意深く取り組むように申し付けるよう仰せ出された件について、以上の通りです。
二月十六日 但し、この時期は禁裏御所炎上の折であります
御用人をはじめとする者へ
○例年、御帰国前の御待請をはじめとする支度や御修覆物などは、これまで節約を心がけて取り扱ってきた次第でありますが、当年については御財政が非常に厳しい状況でありますので、些細な件についてもさらに節約を重ね、無益な出費がないよう十分相談の上で取り扱うよう申し付けます。
三月十一日
江戸において 御用人をはじめとする者へ
○去る春の御趣意により御家中への諸々の下賜物については停止されておりますが、皆が困窮しながらも勤務しているため、格別の思し召しをもってそれぞれ御取り計らいいただいております。もっとも御時節柄の件でありますので、これまでよりは減額となります。右の趣旨を心得ておくように。

However, this year the domain's finances are extremely strained, so even in small matters, further economies should be made and matters should be handled after thorough consultation to avoid any wasteful expenditure.

○Following last spring's directive, various gifts to retainers have been suspended. However, since everyone continues to serve despite hardship, special consideration has been given to provide individual support. Of course, given the current circumstances, amounts will be reduced from previous levels. Keep this directive in mind.
