○此度従公儀御預所へ被仰出候御書付之写被相渡候御本領迚も御同様之儀ニ候得ハ其心
　得を以取計候様御代官共へ可申聞旨

○諸国御料所之儀去未年年柄も相応ニ付少々御収納も相進候趣ニ候へ共前々之御取箇辻々見合候而は
　未た過分之減も有之左候迚村方衰廃致候をも不顧不法之取計等いたし候儀ハ有之間敷事ニ候へ共御
　年貢諸取立物等厳敷取計候ハヽ村方難儀と而已相心得候面々も有之哉ニ候上納筋之品延引致候へハ自然
　と遣ひ込追而納候節致難儀候儀も有之候間取立之物ハ速ニ取立候方却而百姓之為ニ相成儀ニ候且又
　御代官又ハ御預所役人身分を重ク取扱手代下役等ニ任置支配所之村柄人気をも不相弁居候面々も
　有之哉ニ候畢竟身分之奢より之所業ニ而以之外之事ニ候右之通ニ而ハ自然と上下之間隔り候故百姓共も家
　業ニ疎ク相成無益之雑費ニ金銭を遣捨候様ニ相成候当年ハ麦作無難ニ而所ニ寄候而ハ熟作之趣ニ候へハ百姓夫
　食も堪足致候儀ニ上ニも御満悦可被思召候然上ハ猶又秋作手入等之儀致出精候様日々時々御年貢方之
　儀初納より例年ニ勝レ際立候程ニ摂取候様可被致候若勤方等閑之趣も相聞候ハヽ早々可申上間手代共之儀勤
　方等未熟成類有之候ハヽ則右之等閑ニ相当候間早速暇等も申渡候様可被致候右之通相心得出精可被
　取計候尤当麦作宜趣ニ付而ハ御年貢納方等之儀御沙汰も有之間申渡候

○先日まで通りの通り、今後各自がお供を仰せ付けられます。もっとも若殿様、御前様、定姫様のお供も同様のことであります。右の件を申し渡すよう仰せ出されました。

○右と同様のことを御目付共へ申し渡してください。つきましては、これまで御近習番頭取が御目付共へお供の手配について仰せ付けられていましたが、免除されます。もっとも御部屋附の方も同様のことです。その件を申し渡すようにしてください。

一、御座所、御広間、御番士並びに御徒番所の件は、これまで通り仰せ付けられます。
一、御門所の夜分の出入り取り扱いの件は、これまで通り御目付の取り計らいに仰せ付けられます。
一、御座所において御中老、御用人が控えている所は、これまで通りに仰せ付けられます。
一、長囲炉裏の辺りの内囲いの件は、これまで通り仰せ付けられます。
一、御徒頭が泊まることが仰せ付けられます。
一、御徒小屋頭の名目は、これまで通り仰せ付けられます。

○この度、幕府から御預所へ仰せ出された御書付の写しをお渡しします。御本領といえども同様のことでありますので、その心得をもって取り計らうよう御代官共へ申し聞かせるよう指示いたします。

○諸国御料所の件につきまして、去年未年は年柄も相応であったため、少々御収納も進んだ趣でありますが、前々からの御収穫高と照らし合わせてみますと、まだ過分な減収もございます。そうだからといって村方の衰廃を顧みずに不法な取り計らい等をすることはあってはなりませんが、御年貢諸徴収物等を厳格に取り計らえば村方が難儀するとばかり心得ている面々もいるようです。上納筋の品物を延引させてしまえば、自然と使い込んでしまい、後で納める際に難儀することもありますので、徴収すべきものは速やかに徴収する方がかえって百姓のためになることです。また、御代官または御預所役人が身分を重く扱い、手代や下役等に任せきりにして、支配所の村の様子や人心を理解していない面々もいるようです。結局のところ身分の奢りからの所業であり、言語道断のことです。右の通りでは自然と上下の間に隔たりができてしまうため、百姓共も家業に疎くなり、無益な雑費に金銭を使い捨てるようになってしまいます。当年は麦作が無難で、所によっては豊作の趣でありますので、百姓の食糧も十分足りることとなり、上におかれても御満悦に思し召されることでしょう。そうである以上は、なおいっそう秋作の手入れ等の件について精を出すよう、日々時々の御年貢方の件を初納から例年に勝って際立つほどに徴収するようにしてください。もし勤め方が等閑である趣が聞こえてきましたら、早々に申し上げてください。手代共の件で勤め方等が未熟である類がありましたら、すなわち右の等閑に相当しますので、早速暇なども申し渡すようにしてください。右の通り心得て精を出して取り計らってください。もっとも当年の麦作が良い趣につきましては、御年貢納入方等の件について御沙汰もありますので申し渡します。

○Please announce the same matter to the inspectors. Regarding this, while the head of the personal attendants has been assigned to handle escort arrangements with the inspectors, this duty is now exempted. The same applies to those assigned to the chambers. Please announce this matter.

1. The lord's quarters, the great hall, guards, and foot soldier guard posts shall continue as before.
1. Night-time entry and exit procedures at the gate shall continue to be handled by the inspectors as before.

○Regarding the shogunal territories throughout the provinces: Last year (the year of the sheep) had reasonable harvests, and tax collection proceeded somewhat, but compared to previous collection amounts, there are still considerable shortfalls. That said, there should be no illegal measures that disregard the decline of villages. However, some officials seem to think only that strict collection of annual taxes and various levies would cause hardship to villages. If tribute items are delayed, they naturally get spent, causing difficulties when payment is due later. Therefore, collecting what should be collected promptly is actually better for the farmers. Also, some district administrators or territorial officials may treat their positions too importantly, leaving matters entirely to clerks and subordinates, failing to understand the conditions and sentiment of the villages under their jurisdiction. This is ultimately behavior arising from the arrogance of status, which is outrageous. With such attitudes, natural barriers arise between superiors and subordinates, causing farmers to become neglectful of their work and waste money on useless expenses. This year's barley crop was successful, and in some places very good, so farmers will have sufficient food, which should bring great satisfaction to the authorities. Given this, even greater effort should be made in tending autumn crops, and tax collection should be conducted daily so that from the first payment it surpasses previous years remarkably. If negligent performance is reported, it should be reported immediately. If clerks show immature performance, this constitutes the aforementioned negligence, so dismissal should be ordered immediately. Keep this in mind and work diligently.
