【松平肥後守・井伊玄蕃頭・松平讃岐守・松平隠岐守・酒井雅楽頭】
右の者たちは一同に出座し、御縁頬（えんぼほ）にて御目見えを行う。年寄衆が披露し、年寄衆が取り次ぎを申し上げる。上意（将軍のお言葉）があり、退去する。
【松平伊予守】
右は前と同じ次第による。
【松平豊後守】
右は出座し、御下段の御敷居の内にて御目見えを行う。御奏者番が披露し、年寄衆が取り次ぎを申し上げる。上意があり、退去する。
ただし、年寄衆は桜之間の御床の前に控えている。

御先立：松平周防守
御上段に御着座——御褥（おしとね）はなし。
ただし、掃部頭（かもんのかみ）は御中段の東の方より二畳目に着座し、年寄衆は御下段の東の方より三畳目より順々に着座する。松平肥後守・井伊玄蕃頭・松平讃岐守・松平隠岐守・酒井雅楽頭は西の御縁に着座する。

The above appear together and present themselves before the Shogun at the veranda area (enbōho). The senior councilors (toshiyori/rōjū) make the formal announcement, and the senior councilors convey the intermediary report. The Shogun's words are delivered, and they withdraw.
**[Matsudaira Iyo-no-kami]**
The above follows the same procedure as previously described.
**[Matsudaira Bungo-no-kami]**
The above appears and presents himself inside the threshold of the lower dais (o-gedan). The Sōjaban (master of ceremonies) makes the announcement, and the senior councilors convey the intermediary report. The Shogun's words are delivered, and he withdraws.
Note: The senior councilors remain stationed in front of the alcove (toko) in the Sakura-no-ma (Cherry Blossom Chamber).
**One item: Procession to the Ōhiroma (Great Reception Hall)**
Advance escort: Matsudaira Suō-no-kami
The Shogun takes his seat on the upper dais (jōdan) — without a cushion (oshitone).
Note: The Kamon-no-kami (Lord Chamberlain) sits at the second tatami mat from the eastern side of the middle dais (chūdan). The senior councilors sit in sequence from the third tatami mat from the eastern side of the lower dais. Matsudaira Higo-no-kami, Ii Genbano-kami, Matsudaira Sanuki-no-kami, Matsudaira Oki-no-kami, and Sakai Utano-kami take their seats on the western veranda.
