一今度朝鮮在陣之軍勢不残可引取之旨上意之旨石田浅野より申越候
に付加藤主計頭浅野左京鍋島加賀守毛利壱岐守黒田甲斐守相談仕
致放火陣払仕候を拙者共釜山海陣払仕候に其手筈相違仕むさと罷
成候旨小西言上之処何れも皆偽にて候其子細は此条数之内証拠相
見可申候其上先年御無事相済候由にて遊撃幷官人渡海之時上様え
は大明ゟ侘言申上候由申由申上候得共大明ゟ申分は太閤様御所望
に付大明ゟ位を勅許之旨にて日本国王に任せらるゝとの綸旨進上
申候彼綸旨を御取出御覧可有之候如此之上にも御不審候はゝ主計
頭処に大明よりの証文共有之事にて候太閤様御存生之時小西数年
偽申上候間右之段御存被成大明との御無事主計頭に取扱候への由

今回、朝鮮に在陣している軍勢を残らず引き取るべしという上意（豊臣秀吉の意向）を、石田（三成）と浅野（幸長）から申し越してきた。これを受けて加藤主計頭（清正）、浅野左京（幸長）、鍋島加賀守（直茂）、毛利壱岐守（勝信）、黒田甲斐守（長政）が相談し、陣に火を放って陣払い（撤退）を行った。しかし我々は釜山海の陣払いにおいて、その手筈が違ってしまい、無秩序な状態となってしまった、と小西（行長）が言上したところ、それらはすべて偽りであった。その詳細は、この条々の内に証拠が見えるであろう。その上、先年和議が成立したということで、遊撃（明軍の将軍）並びに官人が渡海した時、上様（豊臣秀吉）には大明から詫び言を申し上げた旨を申し上げたが、大明からの申し分は、太閤様の御所望により、大明から位を勅許するという旨で、日本国王に任せるという綸旨を進上申し上げた。その綸旨を取り出して御覧になるべきである。このような状況でも御不審であるならば、主計頭（加藤清正）のところに大明からの証文類があることである。太閤様御存命の時、小西（行長）が数年にわたって偽りを申し上げていたため、右の件を御承知になって、大明との和議を主計頭に取り扱わせるべきである。

This time, the superior intention (Toyotomi Hideyoshi's will) to withdraw all military forces stationed in Korea without exception was communicated by Ishida (Mitsunari) and Asano (Yoshinaga). In response to this, Katō Kazue-no-kami (Kiyomasa), Asano Sakyō (Yoshinaga), Nabeshima Kaga-no-kami (Naoshige), Mōri Iki-no-kami (Katsunobu), and Kuroda Kai-no-kami (Nagamasa) consulted together, set fire to the camps, and conducted the withdrawal. However, when we conducted the withdrawal from the Busan coastal camps, the arrangements went awry and became disorderly - when Konishi (Yukinaga) reported this, it was all falsehood. The details of this can be seen as evidence within these articles. Moreover, when the yūgeki (Ming military commanders) and officials crossed the sea under the pretext that peace had been achieved in previous years, it was reported to His Lordship (Toyotomi Hideyoshi) that the Great Ming had offered words of apology. However, the Great Ming's position was that, in response to Lord Taikō's wishes, they would grant imperial permission for rank, presenting an imperial edict appointing him as King of Japan. That imperial edict should be brought out for examination. Even under such circumstances, if there are still doubts, Kazue-no-kami (Katō Kiyomasa) possesses documentary evidence from the Great Ming. During Lord Taikō's lifetime, Konishi (Yukinaga) made false reports for several years, so being aware of this matter, the peace negotiations with the Great Ming should be handled by Kazue-no-kami.
