川崎之宿脇平間村と云所に落着其後石町に借宅此所に家打入候まて
罷在候江戸御城下江は承合旁折々罷出敵方之様子品々手を廻し承合
候得共本庄之屋敷には御座候と相知候得共得と仕たる事は聞へ不申候
【此節よりは内蔵助始厯々の者共瑤泉院様附之方角江通し曽而不仕候】

現代語訳
川崎の宿場脇の平間村という所に落ち着き、その後石町に借家を構え、この所に家への討ち入りをするまで滞在していた。江戸御城下へは情報収集を兼ねて折々出向き、敵方の様子を種々手を回して調べたが、本庄の屋敷にいることは分かったものの、確実な情報は聞こえてこなかった。

○一、上杉弾正大弼殿綱憲《割書：従四位下侍従十五万石居城｜奥州米沢屋敷桜田御門外》
右の上野介殿の御実子である。弾正大弼殿は午年の夏頃から御病気で、冬に至っても大変な御容体のため、上野介殿は昼夜弾正殿の方にいらっしゃるという話が聞こえる。また茶の湯を御好みで、その会合にお忍びで脇へもお越しになるという。手前の方へもお客が絶え間なくあり、とかく首尾が整わないため、若者どもは急いで理不尽にでも討つべきだと申すけれども

He is the actual son of the aforementioned Lord Kōzuke-no-suke.
