轆轤首之説
或問云世の中に轆轤首（ロクロクビ）といふ者ありて夜中に
おのれと抜出梁（ヌケイテウツバリ）の上に居（スハ）り或は水をのみ抔（ナド）する
よし世の人 専（モツハラ）云 伝（ツタヘ）りいか成事にて角（カク）あや
敷者生し侍るそや
答云 轆轤首（ロクロクビ）といふ者成程 偶（タマニ）は有物なり
尤あや敷物と知へし此事書々に多（ヲヽ）く見へ

轆轤首之説
或る人が問うて言うには、世の中に轆轤首（ろくろくび）という者がいて、夜中に自分で（首が）抜け出て梁の上に座ったり、あるいは水を飲んだりするということを、世の人がもっぱら言い伝えているが、いったいどのような事でこのような怪しい者が生まれるのであろうか。
答えて言うには、轆轤首という者は、なるほどたまにはいるものである。もっとも怪しいものと知るべきである。この事は書物に多く見える。
