現代語訳
十兵衛は詳しい事情を聞き、おふさが持参した三百両と、かねてから心がけて蓄えておいた金を合わせて、腰の上に差し上げたので、非常に首尾よく事が運んだ。十兵衛は帰参の願いもないので隠居し、婿の左七へは元の通り本俸二百石を下されることとなった。
またおふさは姉のことであるから本妻とし、妹のおいとは手掛け分（側室）にして、横に左七の別名である瀬川に引き替え、浜村屋が舞台顔を二人並べて、末永く栄えたということである。
めでたし、めでたし。

Jūbei listened to the detailed circumstances, and combining the three hundred ryō that Ofusa had brought with the money he had carefully saved up over time, he presented it respectfully. This worked out extremely well. Since Jūbei had no desire to return to service, he retired, and his son-in-law Sashichi was granted his original stipend of two hundred koku as before.
Since Ofusa was the elder sister, she became the principal wife, while the younger sister Oito became a concubine. In place of Sashichi's alias Segawa, the Hamamura-ya presented both beauties side by side on stage, and they prospered for a long time.
A happy ending indeed.
