一、小兒ヲシテ感冒ニ罹ラシメザル樣平素ノ注意肝要ナリ
二、小兒ニシテ惡寒又ハ戰慄、發熱、咽喉部疼痛、咽頭發赤、義
膜附着、聲音嘶嗄、特有ノ咳嗽等疑ハシキ症狀ノ一二ヲ呈ス
ルコトアラバ直ニ醫師ノ診察ヲ受クルコト必要ナリ
三、斯クシテ實布垤利亞ノ診斷ヲ早期ニ下スヲ得バ實布垤利
亞血清ノ注射ニヨリテ治癒スルヲ得ベシ若シ本病ニアラサ
ルモ注射セル爲ニ害ヲ來スコト無シ故ニ疑ハシキ場合ニハ
寧ロ早ク直ニ血淸療法ヲ施スヲ可トス
四、若シ醫師ノ診察ヲ受クルコト遅ク從テ血淸注射ノ時期後

（十八）流行の勢い猛烈にして容易に消滅の傾向なき時は、必要と認むる範囲内に予防注射（ワクチン接種）を行うを可とす。その有効期間は半ヶ年乃至一ヶ年なり。但し予防注射によりて全然罹病者を断つ能わざれども、大にその数を減少し、且つ仮令発病するも多くは軽症にして治癒の速やかなると死亡数を減ずることは統計の示す所なり。

ジフテリアの予防及治療法
一、小児をして感冒に罹らしめざる様、平素の注意肝要なり。
二、小児にして悪寒又は戦慄、発熱、咽喉部疼痛、咽頭発赤、偽膜付着、声音嘶嗄、特有の咳嗽等疑わしき症状の一二を呈することあらば、直に医師の診察を受くること必要なり。
三、斯くしてジフテリアの診断を早期に下すを得ば、ジフテリア血清の注射によりて治癒するを得べし。若し本病にあらざるも注射せる為に害を来すこと無し。故に疑わしき場合には寧ろ早く直に血清療法を施すを可とす。
四、若し医師の診察を受くること遅く、従って血清注射の時期後るる時は、折角の注射もその効なく、遂に死の転帰を取るの已むなきに至るべし。
五、仮令早期に診断したりとするも、交通不便の地にして直に

Prevention and Treatment of Diphtheria
1. It is essential to pay constant attention to prevent children from catching colds.
2. If a child shows one or two suspicious symptoms such as chills or shivering, fever, throat pain, pharyngeal redness, pseudomembrane formation, hoarseness, or characteristic cough, it is necessary to immediately seek medical examination.
3. If diphtheria can be diagnosed early in this way, it can be cured by diphtheria serum injection. Even if it is not this disease, no harm will come from the injection. Therefore, in suspicious cases, it is better to apply serum therapy early and immediately.
4. If medical examination is delayed and consequently the timing of serum injection is late, even the injection will be ineffective and will inevitably result in death.
