現代語訳
お手紙を拝見いたしました。寒中ではございますが、将軍様はますますご機嫌よくお過ごしになっておられますので、ご安心ください。
さて、三の丸の普請工事が完成し、桂昌院様が先月二十六日にお移りになられたとのこと、誠におめでたく、お喜び申し上げる次第でございます。このことにつきまして老中まで申し上げるようにとのご指示の趣旨を承知いたしました。
恐れ多くも謹んで申し上げます。

I have respectfully received and read your letter. Although it is the midst of winter, the Shogun is in increasingly good spirits, so please be at ease.
Now, regarding the matter that the construction work at Sannomaru has been completed and Lady Keishoin relocated there on the 26th of last month - this is truly a joyous occasion and cause for celebration. I have understood the intent of your instruction that this matter should be reported up to the Rōjū (Senior Councilors).
With utmost respect and reverence, I humbly state this.
