京都御屋鋪御条目
定
一御門朝六ツ時開夜五時〆御門鍵之儀ハ御屋敷預り之者預り置可申事
但御屋敷預り他出之節者御門鍵御次席之者江預置可申事
一御屋敷内火之元入念可申事
一博奕諸勝負堅御法度ニ候事 【朱書】《振り仮名：一御屋敷前之儀｜イ此条有之是は古御条目か》無沙汰無之様可致事
《振り仮名：一大手先之儀ニも候得ハ御門｜【朱書】イ此条無之此度相改り此条入前ノ朱書ノ条抜ルヵ》前無作法無之様家来末々迄堅可申付事
一御長屋之内ゟ往来之者江言葉を掛申間敷事
一御門外江罷出候節喧嘩口論ハ不及申他所之者江対シ無礼かさつ之働
無之様急度相慎可申事
一御用ニ而御門外江罷出候節葵御紋附提灯を灯往来致シ候ハヽ猶以相慎可申事
一遊所等江罷越候儀堅御法度ニ候事
一他所者罷越候共兼而御出入之者ハ格別不見知者之儀ハ承糺シ相通可申
事尤商人等ニ至迄胡乱成者堅為立入申間敷事

京都御屋敷御条目
定
一、御門は朝六つ時に開き、夜五つ時に閉める。御門の鍵については御屋敷預かりの者が預かり置くこと。
ただし、御屋敷預かりが外出する際は、御門の鍵を御次席の者に預け置くこと。
一、御屋敷内の火の元に入念に注意すること。
一、博打や諸勝負は堅く御法度である。【朱書き注記あり】怠りがないよう努めること。
一、【朱書き注記あり】御門前では無作法がないよう、家来の末々まで堅く申し付けること。
一、御長屋の内から往来の者に言葉をかけてはならない。
一、御門外に出る際、喧嘩口論は言うに及ばず、他所の者に対して無礼で粗雑な振る舞いがないよう、急度慎むこと。
一、御用で御門外に出る際、葵の御紋付き提灯を灯して往来するならば、なおさら慎むこと。
一、遊所等に出向くことは堅く御法度である。
一、他所の者が来訪しても、兼ねてから御出入りの者は格別だが、見知らぬ者については承り糺して通すこと。もちろん商人等に至るまで、胡散臭い者は堅く立ち入らせてはならない。

Regulations for the Kyoto Residence
Ordinance
1. The gate shall be opened at the sixth hour of morning (around 6 AM) and closed at the fifth hour of evening (around 8 PM). The gate key shall be kept by the residence custodian.
However, when the residence custodian goes out, the gate key shall be entrusted to the next senior person.
1. Careful attention must be paid to fire prevention within the residence.
1. Gambling and various betting are strictly forbidden. [Note in red ink] There must be no negligence in this matter.
1. [Note in red ink] There must be no improper behavior in front of the gate, and this must be strictly ordered to all retainers down to the lowest ranks.
1. Those inside the long houses must not call out to passersby.
1. When going outside the gate, not only fighting and quarreling, but also any rude or rough behavior toward outsiders must be strictly avoided.
1. When going outside the gate on official business, if carrying a lantern bearing the hollyhock crest while traveling, one must be even more cautious.
1. Visiting pleasure quarters and similar places is strictly forbidden.
1. When outsiders visit, those who have been regular visitors are acceptable, but unknown persons must be questioned and investigated before being allowed entry. Of course, even merchants and others who appear suspicious must strictly not be allowed to enter.
