一此節公儀御勤も無之儀に候間面々勝手取続候様に専簡略可仕候他出仕候共不
忍体に仕末々何方にても相慎可申事
五月廿一日
右之趣交代之節仲間に可被申達候以上
右御家老中御書付を以被申渡之
一享保十八丑四月十八日御用人笹治権右衛門申聞候は御屋敷之内鳴物之儀御先代ゟ不罷成趣に候へ共御
近習之面々御相手にも罷成申儀に候得は稽古不仕候ては御慰にも不罷成候故明石宮内儀は内御長
屋に罷在候間御小姓共初宮内御長屋にて鳴物致稽古候様に被仰付候旨御意に候且又波多野豊右衛門
筒井左内儀是又御相手に罷成儀に候故右両人御長屋にて可致修行候橋本喜平次儀只今表御長
屋に罷在候へ共笛致修行候儀難儀候に付内御長屋へ入候様に奏者番中へ申達候内御長屋へ入候はゝ笛
修行之面々喜平次方へ可罷越候間此段承置候様被申聞候」右之面々方にて鳴物修行之外は先御代々
被仰出候通に候若御屋敷中鳴物御免之儀と存候者も有之候得は如何に候間猥に不罷成候様に相心得
尋来候面々も候はゝ其通令挨拶候様にと申聞候
〇従前々被仰出候御条目幷此表御屋敷御作法之儀前々被仰出候通弥以厳重可相守事に候将又振舞参
会之儀前々御定之通一汁一菜之外可為無用候音信贈答之儀是又前々之通可相守候惣て時節柄之儀
候間面々不願他信酌いたし衣服麁服を相用不苦候参会之儀は一統和順之ため専要候間御定を
相守致参会候儀不苦事 右之趣申聞候様被仰出候間可存其旨候 以上

一文化二丑四月御国ゟ罷越候大奥女中当分本所御屋敷へ到着之処右御屋敷御門御定書等是迄無之候付御家老
中へ伺之上着当日ゟ左之通相守候様御番人へ申付御門所へ張置候様堀彦八へ申達之且又口達触伺之上右同人方へ差越

右之面々御用にて罷出候節 御成日其外昼夜共に御門無滞可相通候
一常盤橋霊巖嶋御屋敷ゟ御用にて罷越候面々幷御用使等相改昼夜無滞可相通候
但他所ゟ夜分使等来候節は承糺御門外に為待置其旨先方へ申通断を請可相通候
一御成之節御広敷向を初其外之面々幷末々迄都而山口作右衛門方ゟ断を請可相通候
一末々家来等に至迄其役頭主人之印形を以為致出入可申事
但都而包物等は其役所々々ゟ送り切手を以可相通幷私用之儀も其主人ゟ之送り切手を以可相通事
一御家中家来無腰にて為致出入申間敷事 右之通可相守者也 丑四月 御門番所 御目付

従公儀被仰出候御法度之儀幷御家之御定法通堅相守可申事
一火の元之儀面々家来末々のもの迄厳敷可被申付候
一定府勤番詰之面々前々之通御門出入暮六時切 但末々家来之者も同断
一末々之者御門出入之儀支配頭幷主人印形を以可致出入事
但都而包物等は其役所々ゟ送り切手可指出幷私用之儀も其主人ゟ送り切手を以可指出候
一風立はしやき候節は御家中之面々末々迄他行可致遠慮事
但他所火事之節親類縁者へ見廻候人遣候儀可為無用使差越不叶儀に候はゝ其節に至り山口作右衛門へ相伺可任指図事
一御家中召仕之下々に至迄御門外近所たりとも脇指為指可差出事幷買物取寄候共見苦敷無之様可被申付候
右之儀兼て被仰付置候得共猶又堅可被相守旨に候以上 四月十日 追而組へ 御目付
右之通に候処右女中五月六日ゟ不残御上屋敷へ引越被仰付候事
現代語訳
ただし師匠・医者のことは格別のことである
一、この度は幕府での勤務もないことであるから、面々が家計を維持できるよう専ら簡素にすべきである。外出する際も見苦しくない程度にし、どこへ行くにも慎むべきことである。

右の趣旨を交代の節に仲間に申し達すべきである。以上
右は御家老中の書付をもって申し渡されたものである。
一、享保十八年丑四月十八日、御用人笹治権右衛門が申し聞かせたのは、御屋敷の内での楽器演奏のことは御先代から禁止の趣であるが、御近習の面々は御相手にもなることであるから、稽古をしなければ御慰みにもならないため、明石宮内は内御長屋にいるから、御小姓どもをはじめ宮内の御長屋で楽器の稽古をするよう仰せ付けられたとの御意である。また波多野豊右衛門・筒井左内も同じく御相手になることであるから、右両人は御長屋で修行すべきである。橋本喜平次は今は表御長屋にいるが、笛の修行をするのが困難であるため、内御長屋へ入るよう奏者番中へ申し達した。内御長屋へ入れば、笛修行の面々は喜平次の所へ行くことができるから、この段承知しておくよう申し聞かせた。右の面々の所での楽器修行以外は先の御代々に仰せ出された通りである。もし御屋敷中で楽器演奏が許可されたと思う者もいればいかがなものかと思うので、みだりにならないよう心得、尋ねてくる面々もいれば、その通り挨拶するようにと申し聞かせた。
○従来から仰せ出された御条目並びにこの表御屋敷の御作法のことは、従来仰せ出された通りいよいよもって厳重に相守るべきことである。また振る舞い・参会のことは従来の御定めの通り一汁一菜の外は無用とすべきである。音信贈答のことも従来の通り相守るべきである。総じて時節柄のことであるから、面々は他を願わず質素にし、衣服は粗服を用いても構わない。参会のことは一統和順のため専ら重要であるから、御定めを相守って参会することは構わないことである。右の趣旨を申し聞かせるよう仰せ出されたから、その旨を存ずべきである。以上

一、文化二年丑四月、御国から参った大奥女中が当分本所御屋敷へ到着したところ、右御屋敷の御門の御定書等がこれまでなかったため、御家老中へ伺いの上、到着当日から左の通り相守るよう御番人へ申し付け、御門所へ張り置くよう堀彦八へ申し達し、また口達で触れ伺いの上、右同人の所へ差し越した。

右の面々が御用で参る節 御成の日その外昼夜共に御門を滞りなく通ることができる
一、常盤橋・霊巌島御屋敷から御用で参る面々並びに御用使等を改め、昼夜滞りなく通すことができる
ただし他所から夜分使者等が来た節は承り質し、御門外で待たせ置き、その旨を先方へ申し通し、許可を請うて通すべきである
一、御成の節は御広敷向をはじめその外の面々並びに末々まで、すべて山口作右衛門の所から許可を請うて通すべきである
一、末々家来等に至るまで、その役職の頭・主人の印形をもって出入りすべきことである
ただしすべて包み物等は、その役所々々から送り切手をもって通すべきであり、私用のことも、その主人からの送り切手をもって通すべきことである
一、御家中家来は刀を差さずに出入りしてはならないことである 右の通り相守るべきものである 丑四月 御門番所 御目付
口達
幕府から仰せ出された御法度のこと並びに御家の御定法の通り堅く相守るべきことである
一、火の元のことは面々家来末々の者まで厳しく申し付けるべきである
一、定府勤番詰の面々は従来の通り御門出入りは暮れ六時限り ただし末々家来の者も同様である
一、末々の者の御門出入りのことは支配頭並びに主人の印形をもって出入りすべきことである
ただしすべて包み物等はその役所々から送り切手を差し出すべきであり、私用のことも、その主人から送り切手をもって差し出すべきである
一、風が立ち火事の恐れがある節は、御家中の面々末々まで外出を遠慮すべきことである
ただし他所の火事の節に親類縁者への見舞いに人を遣わすことは無用とすべきである。使いを差し越すことがやむを得ない場合は、その節に至って山口作右衛門へ相談し、指図に任せるべきことである
一、御家中召し使いの下々に至るまで、御門外近所であっても脇指を差して外出すべきことである。また買い物を取り寄せる際も見苦しくないよう申し付けるべきである
右のことは兼ねて仰せ付け置かれているが、なお一層堅く相守るべき旨である。以上 四月十日 追って組へ 御目付
右の通りであったところ、右女中は五月六日からすべて御上屋敷へ引っ越すよう仰せ付けられたことである。

Since Akashi Kunaino resides in the inner long house, the pages and others should practice musical instruments in Kunaino's long house as ordered. Also, Hatano Toyouemon and Tsutsui Sanai similarly serve as companions, so these two should practice in the long house. Hashimoto Kiheiji currently resides in the outer long house, but since flute practice is difficult there, it was communicated to the ceremonial attendants that he should enter the inner long house. Once in the inner long house, those practicing flute can visit Kiheiji's quarters, so this should be understood. Apart from musical instrument practice at these people's quarters, everything follows previous generations' orders.
