一御途中に於て雨天之節合羽着用之儀御駕廻り申談申聞候事   但御徒ゟ以下御徒目付を以申聞候事 一雨天之節はきものゝ儀御供方向々ゟ承合候儀夫々可致指図事   但痛所有之わらし下足袋相用度旨相達候はゝ可致指図御徒ゟ以下御徒目    付を以申達候事 一御供先にて申分有之候節取計尤御徒目付にて相済候儀は御徒目付相残押之者にて相済  候儀は押之者相残可申事 一御前様御姫様惣て御女中様方之御供は半股立にて相勤可申事 一御表様若殿様御供立場所之儀は御駕脇御右之方に相立可申事 一御前様御姫様方御供は御簑箱之跡へ相立候事其外御供之品に寄立場所相違之  儀も有之御供御行列帳に認有之 一御供槍三本御定に候処源隆院様御代ゟ五本に相成当御代も五本に有之候処  安永六酉年被仰出候付三本に相成二本は御供外へ相下け候事 一御宮参御供若殿様御姫様御次男様にても御同様御供壱人宛御徒目付弐人宛   但御姫様之節は御徒目付三人罷出候事 一御前様御姫様方御供壱人御徒目付二人宛但元文三午年相勤候近例之事   附出火之節は御前様其外御方々様御相合御供相勤事 一他所へ御婚礼御供二人宛御徒目付七人つゝ但元文三午年正月勝姫様御婚礼之節西尾  源太左衛門小林久右衛門相勤近例 一御手前御婚礼以後御里披御供二人宛御徒目付三人宛 一御二男様ゟ御末御方々様御供御目付代り御使番壱人宛御徒目付壱人宛 一御目付御供に罷出候儀は御供之締として罷出諸事見計候心得第一之事 一江戸表御供に御目付弐人御側物頭ゟ助壱人都合三人にて御表様若殿様  御両方様之御供可相勤事 一御延気御出之節裏付上下継上下之内着用 一御参詣御勤は服紗麻上下着用 一夏向熨斗縮着用之儀勝手次第之事 一年始御勤正月十五日迄は御徒以上麻上下着用十五日過ゟは御駕廻り計熨斗目麻上下着用之事

現代語訳

1. During rainy weather while traveling, regarding the wearing of rain cloaks, this shall be discussed with and communicated to the palanquin attendants. However, for foot soldiers and below, this shall be communicated through foot inspectors. 1. During rainy weather, regarding footwear matters, each section of the entourage shall consult with each other and give appropriate instructions. However, if there are requests to use straw sandals or tabi socks due to foot injuries, instructions shall be given. For foot soldiers and below, this shall be communicated through foot inspectors. 1. When there are disputes at the head of the entourage, they shall be handled accordingly. Matters that can be resolved by foot inspectors shall have foot inspectors remain, and matters that can be resolved by supervisors shall have supervisors remain. 1. The entourages of Her Ladyship, the Princess, and all ladies shall serve wearing half hakama. 1. Regarding the positioning of entourages for His Lordship and the Young Lord, they shall stand to the right side of the palanquin. 1. The entourages of Her Ladyship and the Princess shall stand behind the umbrella box. For other entourage members, positioning may differ according to their rank, as recorded in the entourage procession register. 1. While three spears were the regulation for the entourage, from Lord Gen'ryū-in's era this became five, and in the current era there were also five. However, due to an order issued in Anei 6 (1777), it returned to three, with two spears removed from the entourage. 1. For shrine visits by the Young Lord, Princess, and Second Son, the entourage shall be the same: one attendant each and two foot inspectors each. However, for the Princess, three foot inspectors shall attend. 1. For Her Ladyship and the Princess: one attendant each and two foot inspectors each. However, this follows the recent precedent established when serving in Genbun 3 (1738). Additionally, during fires, Her Ladyship and other lords and ladies shall serve together in the entourage. 1. For weddings elsewhere: two attendants each and seven foot inspectors each. However, this follows the recent precedent of Nishio Gentazaemon and Kobayashi Kyūemon serving during Princess Katsu's wedding in the first month of Genbun 3 (1738). 1. For homecoming visits after domestic weddings: two attendants each and three foot inspectors each. 1. For entourages of the Second Son and younger lords and ladies: one messenger each (replacing inspectors) and one foot inspector each. 1. When inspectors attend the entourage, they attend as supervisors of the entourage, and their primary duty is to oversee all matters. 1. For entourages in Edo: two inspectors and one assistant from the personal guard commanders, totaling three people, shall serve the entourages of both His Lordship and the Young Lord. 1. For informal outings: wear either lined formal dress or pieced formal dress. 1. For worship duties: wear gauze hemp formal dress. 1. Regarding wearing summer crape in summer: this is at one's discretion. 1. For New Year duties: from New Year until the 15th of the first month, foot soldiers and above wear hemp formal dress; after the 15th, only palanquin attendants wear striped hemp formal dress.
