御火消并出火取扱
享保十八癸丑年
上野御場所御火消之節御定書
一今度東叡山火之御番就被 仰付於彼地面々相慎候様に先達て被 仰渡候万一御山之内
出火に候得は東叡山御門前之町人并谷中辺に罷在候町人百姓共駆付消申事候此方
御人数霊岸嶋御屋敷ゟ罷越事に候得は右之面々ゟは■【遅の誤記ヵ】滞之事も可有御座候夫共
此方御役人駆付候へは右之者共消懸り候ても場所明相渡申由に御座候若左様之時は
消懸り候処は断申其儘指置為消此方御人数は何方成共見立御人数上け可
申候又執当中御別方場所指図も有之由左様候時は右指図候方名を承置
可申候若場所狭時は入交り候ても消可申候尤町人百姓たりといふともかさつかまし
き儀猶又過言無之様面々は不及申組支配下々に至迄常々堅可申聞置候
一於場所若堪忍難成品等も候はゝ其趣目付中へ相達置可申候追て被蒙御吟味取唀

一、今度東叡山火の御番就いて仰せ付けられ、かの地面々相慎み候様に先達て仰せ渡され候。万一御山の内出火に候えば、東叡山御門前の町人並びに谷中辺に罷り在り候町人百姓共駆け付け消し申す事に候。こちら御人数霊岸島御屋敷より罷り越す事に候えば、右の面々よりは遅滞の事も御座あるべく候。それとも、こちら御役人駆け付け候えば、右の者共消し掛かり候ても場所明け相渡し申す由に御座候。若しそのようの時は、消し掛かり候処は断り申し、そのまま指し置き、消しのため、こちら御人数は何方なりとも見立て御人数上げ申すべく候。また執当中御別方場所指図も有りの由、そのよう候時は右指図候方名を承り置き申すべく候。若し場所狭き時は入り交わり候ても消し申すべく候。もっとも町人百姓たりといえども、騒がしき儀、なおまた過言なきよう、面々は申すに及ばず、組支配下々に至るまで常々堅く申し聞かせ置くべく候。

Regulations for Fire Fighting at Ueno Sacred Grounds
1. This time, regarding the appointment of fire watch duty at Tōeizan, it was previously ordered that people in that area should exercise caution. In the event of a fire breaking out within the sacred mountain, the townspeople in front of Tōeizan's main gate and the townspeople and farmers residing in the Yanaka area will rush to extinguish it. Since our personnel will come from the Reiganjima residence, there may be delays compared to those people. However, when our officials rush to the scene, even if those people are engaged in firefighting, they should vacate the area and hand it over to us. In such cases, they should withdraw from the firefighting area and leave it as is, and for firefighting purposes, our personnel should be deployed wherever deemed appropriate. Also, there may be separate location instructions from the duty officers during this period, and in such cases, the names of those giving such instructions should be noted. If the location is narrow, firefighting may proceed with people working together. Of course, even townspeople and farmers should avoid causing disturbances or making excessive statements, and this should be strictly communicated regularly not only to the officers themselves but down to all subordinates under group command.
