【朱】延享元子二月初て被仰出其節文段朱書之通 御国諸事留
一御成之節前々被 仰出候趣在之候得共此度猶以被 仰出候は 御門前
通御被遊候節御長屋に罷在候面々下々へ堅可被申付候尤二階《振り仮名：◦際江寄り ｜に罷在候分は下へおろし表窓之》
不申勝手之方へ集置「勿論」【朱囲み枠】雑談等決て不仕様に主人に「ゟ」【朱囲み枠】急度可被申付候主人
留守之節は支配之者へ堅申付猥に無之様に相慎可申候煙留之儀被 仰付候へは
此儀は不及申日暮候共燈火決手無之筈に候
一表御長屋之儀は不及申内御長屋にても

【朱書き】延享元年二月に初めて仰せ出され、その際の文章は朱書きの通り 御国諸事留
一、御成の際、以前から仰せ出されている趣旨があるが、この度改めて仰せ出されるのは、御門前を通られる際、御長屋に居る者たち、下々に対して厳しく申し付けるべきである。特に二階に居る者は下に降ろし、表窓には寄らず勝手の方へ集めておくこと。当然のことながら雑談等は決してしないよう、主人から厳重に申し付けるべきである。主人が留守の際は、支配の者へ厳しく申し付け、軽率なことがないよう慎むべきである。煙留めの件が仰せ付けられれば、これは申すまでもなく、日暮れになっても灯火は決してないはずである。
一、表御長屋については申すまでもなく、内御長屋であっても、通られる際は大声で話したりせず、御屋敷の内を通っているかのように、その上御番等に出る際、同道している者が出入りすることは全くしてはならない。あるいは雪駄や雨天であっても、御長屋の内では足音が高くなることもあるので、履物を履くことは決してしてはならず、履く場合でも注意すべきである。
右の趣旨は以前から仰せ出されているが、改めてこの度仰せ出されるので、その意を理解し、下々へ厳しく申し付けるべきである。以上

Article 1: Regarding official visits, although instructions have been given previously, this time they are being proclaimed anew: When the lord passes in front of the gate, strict orders must be given to all those residing in the official residences, from high to low ranking retainers. Particularly, those on the second floor must be moved downstairs, kept away from the front windows and gathered toward the rear areas. Naturally, idle conversation is absolutely forbidden, and the household head must give strict orders about this. When the household head is absent, the person in charge must be strictly instructed to exercise proper caution without negligence. When orders are given regarding smoke control, this goes without saying - even after nightfall, there must be absolutely no lighting of fires.
Article 1: Regarding the front official residences, it goes without saying, but even in the inner official residences, when the lord passes by, one must not speak loudly or engage in conversation. When moving about within the mansion grounds, and furthermore when going out for guard duty, companions must never come and go. Even when wearing zōri (sandals) or during rainy weather, since footsteps can be loud within the official residences, wearing footwear is absolutely forbidden, and even when it must be worn, great care should be taken.
