〇安政三年辰の春の頃安政見聞誌と題して去年の地震の聞書
へ彩色摺の画を加へたる刊本三巻あり故人 渓斉（ケイサイ）【齊】英泉か弟子英寿といへ

○安政三年辰の春の頃、「安政見聞誌」と題して去年の地震の聞き書きに彩色刷りの画を加えた刊本三巻がある。故人渓斎英泉の弟子英寿という者の編集によるものであり、挿絵は彼の英寿、芳綱、国周、貞秀等が描いたものである。その内に載せられた話の内容について、真偽のほどは分からないが、ここに抄録する。
△ある人が大震災の後、度重なる揺れの大小を測って球で表したもの。その表示方法は通俗的な慣例に倣い、日の出と日の入りで昼夜とする。すなわち白い球は昼、黒い球は夜と理解すべし。なお、最初の地震の球は特に大きく描くべきであるが、紙面の都合が悪いため、ここでは省略する。

Brief Record of Earthquake Disasters in Edo, Volume 5
○Around the spring of Ansei 3 (1856), there was a three-volume published work titled "Ansei Kenbun-shi" (Chronicle of Ansei Observations), which combined accounts of last year's earthquake with color-printed illustrations. It was compiled by a disciple of the late Keisai Eisen named Eiju, and the illustrations were drawn by Eiju, Yoshitsuna, Kunichika, Teishu, and others. The veracity of the stories contained within is unknown, but I excerpt them here.
△Someone measured the magnitude of the many aftershocks following the great earthquake and represented them with circles. The display method follows popular convention, using sunrise and sunset to denote day and night. That is, white circles represent daytime and black circles represent nighttime. The circle for the initial earthquake should be drawn particularly large, but due to space constraints on the page, it is omitted here.
