現代語訳

「金陵の鳳凰台に登る」

鳳凰台の上で鳳凰が遊んでいた。鳳凰は去り、台は空しくなったが、長江は自然に流れている。呉宮の花や草は幽暗な小道に埋もれてしまった。晋代の衣冠束帯も古い丘となってしまった。三山は半ば青空の外に落ち、二つの水流が中央で白鷺洲を分けている。すべて浮雲が日を覆い隠すためであり、長安が見えないことが人を憂愁に陥らせる。

"Climbing Phoenix Terrace in Jinling"

On Phoenix Terrace, phoenixes once played. The phoenixes have departed, the terrace stands empty, yet the Yangtze River flows naturally onward. The flowers and grasses of Wu Palace are buried in shadowy paths. The court dress and caps of the Jin Dynasty have become ancient mounds. The Three Mountains half-disappear beyond the blue sky, while two streams divide the White Egret Sandbar in their midst. All this is because floating clouds can obscure the sun, and not being able to see Chang'an causes people to grieve.
