現代語訳
その日は悪天候で道が悪く、お供が特に骨を折ったため、お酒を下賜された。
同年六月、ご下向の際、道中のお供として介役を無欠勤で勤め、御次番勤務および御戸番も兼務した旨が仰せ出された。
同年十一月、ご病気中に精励して勤務した旨が内々に仰せ出された。
同三午年三月、ご参府に付きお跡番として上洛した。
ただし、この後のご往来の度ごとに、ご先番・お跡番としてお供した。
同年十二月、お手元掛かりの御用を精励して勤務した旨が内々に仰せ出された。
ただし、この後も右の御用を精励して勤務した旨が度々ご褒美として仰せ出された。
同五申年二月、御膳番見習いを仰せ付けられた。
同六酉年三月、御納戸払いの御品として、お召し古の御袷一着を下賜された。
同年五月、御膳番当座仮役を仰せ付けられた。
ただし、この後も度々仰せ付けられた。
英語訳
On that day, due to bad weather and poor road conditions, his service as an attendant was particularly arduous, so he was granted sake as a reward.
In the sixth month of the same year, during the lord's return journey to the domain, it was announced that he had served without absence as an attendant and intermediate officer during the journey, and had also performed duties as御次番 (escort guard) and御戸番 (gate guard).
In the eleventh month of the same year, it was privately announced that he had served diligently during the lord's illness.
In the third month of the third year of An'ei (1774), he went up to Edo as a rear guard attendant for the lord's journey to the capital.
Note: From this time forward, he served as both advance guard and rear guard attendant for every such journey.
In the twelfth month of the same year, it was privately announced that he had diligently performed his duties in direct service to the lord.
Note: Thereafter, he was repeatedly commended for his diligent performance of these duties.
In the second month of the fifth year of An'ei (1776), he was appointed as an apprentice御膳番 (meal service attendant).
In the third month of the sixth year of An'ei (1777), he was granted one used formal jacket from the lord's wardrobe as a reward from the御納戸 (wardrobe office).
In the fifth month of the same year, he was appointed as a temporary御膳番 (meal service attendant).
Note: He was repeatedly appointed to this position thereafter.
