手長島は酒好きゆえ、ある夜朝比奈の留守を幸い、酒樽のよく寝入ったのを見済まし、奥座敷より酒部屋まで探って飲み口をねじねじ。こちらはふっと目が覚め、憎さも憎しと飲み口を抑えた。折しも小便が出そうゆえ、酒と見せかけて茶碗へ小便を仕込む。手長島は知らず、さりとかの小便を酒と思い、ぐっと引っかけたぞ、ここちよき。

酒の出る音は「ドクドク」という。
