辺一めんの火になり浅くさへん

ゑかういんれいかん嶋不残永代寺ひるこの

本橋通り京はし大通り不残両本願寺山
王おたび所辺不残新芝御やしきつゞいて
芝神明増上寺せんがくじずい正寺かい
あんじ高なは辺品川不残大くづれ大橋
両国はし永代ばし此辺不残すべて市中

深川、本所、神田、佐久間町辺り一面の火事となり、浅草辺にて吉原、猿若町残らず、向島、梅屋敷、太宰府（亀戸）の天神、五百羅漢、回向院、霊岸島残らず、永代寺、蛭子の宮大荒れで大損じ、死人怪我人おびただしく、日本橋通り、京橋大通り残らず、両本願寺、山王お旅所辺残らず、新芝御屋敷続いて芝神明、増上寺、泉岳寺、随正寺、海安寺、高輪辺、品川残らず大崩れ、大橋、両国橋、永代橋、この辺残らず、すべて市中大半崩れ、大地裂け、死人怪我人数知れず、古今稀なる大変なり。
四日卯の刻にまだ火が鎮まらない様子、およそ火口三十八ヶ所に及ぶ。なお詳しくは後編に差し出し申し候。

Fukagawa, Honjo, Kanda, and the Sakuma-cho area became entirely engulfed in fire. In the Asakusa area, Yoshiwara and Saruwaka-cho were completely destroyed. Mukojima, Umeyashiki, Dazaifu (Kameido) Tenjin Shrine, Gohyaku Rakan Temple, Ekoin Temple, and Reigan Island were all destroyed. Eitai-ji Temple and Ebisu Shrine suffered great damage and destruction. The dead and injured are countless. Nihonbashi Street, Kyobashi main street were completely destroyed, as were both Hongan-ji temples and the area around Sanno Otabisho. The new Shiba estates were affected, followed by Shiba Shinmei Shrine, Zojo-ji Temple, Sengaku-ji Temple, Zuisho-ji Temple, Kaian-ji Temple, the Takanawa area, and Shinagawa - all completely collapsed. Ohashi Bridge, Ryogoku Bridge, and Eitai Bridge - this entire area was completely destroyed. In total, most of the city collapsed, the earth cracked open, and the number of dead and injured is unknown - truly an unprecedented disaster of historic proportions.
On the 4th day at the hour of the Rabbit (around 6 AM), the fires had still not been extinguished. There were approximately 38 locations where fires broke out. More details will be provided in the subsequent volume.
