英語訳
Therefore, following ancient law, it is customary to decide at the ceremonial ground. ≪Marginal note: This deliberation, heard by the head priest, is extremely inconsiderate≫
1. First day of the fifth month, Genroku 17 (1704)
When the Ashi horse and Tsuchida horse collided and broke their legs, causing delay in the sacred ritual, following precedent, the shoshidai's lead horse was borrowed and used. This is detailed in the shrine records. There is precedent with Head Priest Okamoto Yasuka.
1. Fifth day of the fifth month, Anei 2, year of the water snake (1773), horse racing ceremony rain matter
Regarding Shidori horse, due to sudden illness of Shoshidai Doi Oikami-no-kami, horses were provided from both magistrates' offices - a chestnut lead horse and a dappled horse, with two stable masters. Due to the shoshidai's illness, this was the first precedent of horses being provided by both magistrates' offices.
1. Due to injury to the Kifu priest's horse, it was replaced. At that time, this was reported to the ceremonial ground and to the deputy. Due to earnest request from the deputies to the first riders, there was an announcement by the first riders at the administrative building. ≪Marginal note: Due to inconsideration?≫ There was no guidance from the year supervisor.
Were the deputies inconsiderate? The jockeys urged and reported to the magistrates that year - were the jockeys inconsiderate?
【Upper margin】≪Marginal note: This day unknown≫
Due to heavy rain, there was no proper procedure for horse replacement in order, and this should not be used in future years.
1. Recording recent precedents for proper horse replacement
Second year of Kanpo, year of the water dog (1742), fifth day of fifth month
Ashi Shingu priest Ukyo-no-daibu Suenai's horse was in pain, so the lead horse was replaced. At that time, the notification was made as follows: first the jockey, then the opponent's horse handler, the opponent's jockey, then both head priests at the ceremonial ground.
