一、十六日、晴れ。今日もそれぞれが社頭へ出て、堀のあちこちの普請があった。今日より檜皮大工どもが入り、袴・肩衣を着用した。
一、十七日、午前は曇り、午後は雨。今日、神主・正祢宜・雑掌・指添・備前、以上四人が、賀茂伝奏（烏丸光廣卿〔朱書〕）へお出ましになった。古い御殿を引き（取り壊し）申す日時、また仮殿の柱立ての日時などを仰せ付けいただきたい旨の儀につき、各々がお出ましになった。
一、十八日、晴れ。五味殿がお越しになり、社頭指添衆がお出ましになった。〈今日より大綱等の縄を、庁屋において調えた。〉
一、二十日、晴れ、午後は雪。神主・正祢宜・左馬允・備中の代として遠江、右の衆が伝奏へ出て、仮殿について申し上げる日時をうかがいにお出ましになった。柱立て・棟上げ・仮遷宮の儀は一度に行うこと（陣の儀）もあるが、まず古い御殿を引き取り（取り壊し）申さなければ万事成らないため、幸いに旧例にも内々の日取りにて引き取り申すことについて先例があるので、まず陣の儀（一度に行う式典）には及ばず、古い御殿は引き取り申すので、その旨ご承知おきいただきますよう、との届けのためであった。伝奏もまことに然るべきことと仰せになった。
一、二十一日、晴れ。彼岸。今日、影堂において指副の寄合があった。

Item: On the sixteenth day, clear. Today also, everyone came out to the shrine precinct, and construction work was carried out on various parts of the moat. From today, the cypress-bark craftsmen (hinoki-kawa daiku) entered the site, dressed in hakama and kataginu (formal surcoat).
Item: On the seventeenth day, cloudy in the morning, rainy in the afternoon. Today, the Head Priest, the Chief Priest, the shrine administrator (zasshō), the directing official (sashizoe), and the Bizen [official] — four persons in total — went out to the Kamo Liaison to the Court (Kamo-densō; Lord Karasuma Mitsuhiro [in red]). They went out together regarding the matter of requesting the formal assignment of an auspicious date for dismantling the old main shrine hall, as well as for the erection of the pillars of the temporary shrine hall.
Item: On the eighteenth day, clear. Lord Gomi arrived, and the shrine supervising officials (shadō sashizoe-shū) came out. 〈From today, large ropes and other cords were prepared at the administrative office (chōya).〉
Item: On the twentieth day, clear, with snow in the afternoon. The Head Priest, the Chief Priest, the Samanosuke, and, in place of Bichū, Tōtōmi — these officials went to the Court Liaison (densō) to inquire about the date for the announcement regarding the temporary shrine hall. While it is possible to hold the pillar-raising, ridgepole-raising, and temporary enshrinement ceremonies all at once (as a single formal ceremony, jin no gi), since the old main shrine hall must first be dismantled before anything else can proceed, and since there is precedent in old practice for arranging the dismantling on a privately determined date (uchi-hidon), the purpose of their visit was to convey that the formal grand ceremony (jin no gi) would not be necessary at this stage, and that the old shrine hall would simply be dismantled — and they asked that this be duly noted. The Court Liaison also expressed that this was entirely reasonable.
Item: On the twenty-first day, clear. It was the equinox period (higan). Today, a meeting of the deputy officials (sashizoe) was held at the Influence Hall (eidō).
