一 正徳四午年三月池上孫右衛門忰兵
助養子ニ仕度旨被任願候事

現代語訳
一 同十四年丑年《割書：月は不詳》頭の萱野権兵衛が御役
御免につき、跡役として上田八郎右衛門組に移った。
一 宝永元年申年四月、勤番のため江戸表へ
上り、同年十月に下った。
一 同三年戌年正月、数年間御番を怠りなく
相勤めたとの旨を仰せ出された。
一 同四年亥年十二月、一統の御救いを頂戴
しなかったため、御褒美として銀子一枚を下し
置かれた。
一 正徳四年午年三月、池上孫右衛門の息子兵
助を養子にしたい旨の願いが許された。
一 享保七年寅年八月、頭の上田八郎右衛門が
隠居につき、跡役として一瀬伝兵衛組に移った。
一 同九年辰年二月、願いの通り息子兵助が御番
代を申し付けられた。
一 同十八年丑年八月十日、七十九歳にて
病死。法名は恵明院知道、葬所は同上。

he was transferred to Ueda Hachirōemon's unit as successor.
一 In Hōei 1, year of the Monkey, 4th month, he went up to Edo
for guard duty rotation and returned in the 10th month of the same year.
一 In the 3rd year, year of the Dog, 1st month, it was proclaimed that he had
served guard duty diligently for several years without negligence.
一 In the 4th year, year of the Boar, 12th month, because he did not receive
the general relief aid, he was granted one silver piece
as a reward.
一 In Shōtoku 4, year of the Horse, 3rd month, his request to adopt
Heisuke, son of Ikegami Magoemon, was approved.
一 In Kyōhō 7, year of the Tiger, 8th month, when head Ueda Hachirōemon
retired, he was transferred to Ichise Denbee's unit as successor.
一 In the 9th year, year of the Dragon, 2nd month, as requested, his son Heisuke was
appointed as substitute guard.
一 In the 18th year, year of the Ox, 8th month, 10th day, he died of illness
at the age of 79. Buddhist name: Emyōin Chidō, burial place same as above.
