一 同月十五日 疱瘡後も異常がないため、登城を辞退した

天皇が疱瘡にかかられたため、様子を伺うために使者市橋孫平次を京都に派遣した
ただし孫平次の京都到着日は不明
一 三月六日
天皇の疱瘡が治り、先月一日に酒湯をかけられたとの祝儀のため登城するよう仰せ出されたが、体調不良のため、当番の久世大和守広之殿に留守居を通じて伺いを立てたところ、名代として使者を派遣するよう指示があった
一 同日 上記の件につき祝儀のため使者斎藤民部定之を城に派遣したところ、諸大名の目見え後、檜之間において当番の久世大和守広之殿に謁見した

天皇の疱瘡が治り酒湯をかけられたとの祝儀のため、京都留守居松江善兵衛房行を通じて、禁裏御所に太刀馬代（銀三十枚）を献上した

One: On the 12th day of the first month, since the smallpox had been cured, there was a celebratory ceremony with sake-yu (sake bath).
One: On the 15th day of the same month, since there were no complications after the smallpox, attendance at the castle was declined.
One: On the 25th day of the second month:
The Emperor contracted smallpox, so messenger Ichihashi Magoheiji was dispatched to Kyoto to inquire about His Majesty's condition.
Note: The date of Magoheiji's arrival in Kyoto is unknown.
One: On the 6th day of the third month:
It was announced that the Emperor's smallpox had been cured and that sake-yu had been performed on the first day of last month, and attendance at the castle was commanded for congratulations. However, due to illness, an inquiry was made through the castle caretaker to the duty officer Lord Kuze Yamato-no-kami Hiroyuki, who instructed that a messenger should be sent as a representative.
One: On the same day, regarding the above matter, messenger Saito Minbu Sadayuki was dispatched to the castle for congratulations. After the formal audience of various daimyo, he had an audience with duty officer Lord Kuze Yamato-no-kami Hiroyuki in the Hinoki-no-ma (Cypress Room).
One: On the 19th day of the same month:
For congratulations that the Emperor's smallpox had been cured and sake-yu had been performed, a ceremonial sword and horse substitute (thirty pieces of silver) was presented to the Imperial Palace through Kyoto caretaker Matsue Zenbei Fusayuki.
