加賀守忠朝殿から来た
一 八月十八日 登城されたところ、御老中列座にて左近衛権少将に任命された旨の御達しがあり、退出の際に右の御礼のため御老中・若年寄中並びに酒井河内守忠挙殿へ御廻勤された
ただし今日から登城の節は御門々々御番所その他とも御先規の通り総下座を仰せ出された
一 右の件につき本多孫太郎長員をはじめとする御家老・御城代へ御書状を出された

法皇御所（御諱政仁）崩御（後水尾帝）
一 同月二十一日、明後日二十三日に将軍宣下があることにつき登城すべき旨の捻御奉書が御老中大久保加賀守忠朝殿から来た

One August 18th: When he attended court, with the senior councilors assembled, there was an announcement that he had been appointed to the position of Sakon-e-gon-no-shōshō (Minor Captain of the Left Palace Guards), and upon departure, he made courtesy visits to the senior councilors, junior councilors, and Sakai Kawachi-no-kami Tadataka to express gratitude for this appointment
However, from today forward, when attending court, all gate guards and guard posts shall perform complete prostration as per previous protocol
One Regarding the above matter, letters were sent to the chief retainers and castle governors, beginning with Honda Magotarō Nagazane

The Retired Emperor (personal name: Masahito) passed away (Emperor Go-Mizunoo)
One Same month, 21st day: A sealed official letter came from Senior Councilor Ōkubo Kaga-no-kami Tadatomo stating that attendance at court should be made the day after tomorrow, the 23rd, for the shogunal investiture ceremony
