1. On December 5th, regarding sake brewing, the government had previously ordered that production should be half of last year's amount, but now additionally ordered that new sake brewing should be suspended for this year and next year. Monthly Senior Retainer Koma Mokuzaemon Sadazumi instructed the town magistrates and district magistrates to announce this directive to the towns and countryside.
1. On the 9th of the same month, during the cold season, fresh cod, the finest from our domain's products, was presented as tribute through a messenger as is customary.
The same was presented to the Young Lord for the first time, and after this presentation was completed, a twisted letter of acknowledgment arrived from Senior Councilor Hotta Bitchu-no-kami Masatoshi.
