The year's fortune lies in the aki direction, between the Tora and U directions.
New Year's Day (Mizunoto-U): Clear skies from morning, extremely calm. From the hour of the Horse (around 10 AM), west wind blew and scattered clouds appeared. The cold air eased, and the wind stopped from the hour of the Monkey (around 3 PM).
