は一応もっともな論に聞こえるが、蚕病の起こる原因は一様
ではない。それなのにただ空気の流通のみに限定するのは、いわゆる
これを語って詳しくないということである。桑栽培論において羽州米沢、上州
花輪では原紙一枚の蚕に桑二百五十貫目前後

は三十六貫目なり》とある。桑を与えることがこのように多くて、どうして
成熟することができるのか、本当に疑わしい。
一 この書は今から十一年前、慶応二年の春に「養蚕私録」
と題して出版し、遠近に配布して皆とこの利益を共有
したが、維新以後暦日が改まり時運が進み、それに従って私の発見
したことも亦少なくない。故に今前後二編となした。
一 従来養蚕書類は多いとはいえ、桑栽培の条項を欠くため、世人は

その完全でないことを残念に思っている。今この編でその欠陥を補い、かつ私録の
説を詳しく述べたものも少なくない。これはその不完全な
ものを完全にし、養蚕の全体を完結することを願うもので、
「全書」と標題する理由である。敢えて人を凌駕し私見を誇示し、万
世に誤りなしとしてその説の完全性を誇るという意味ではない。

maturation be achieved? This is truly questionable.
One This book was published eleven years ago in the spring of Keio 2 (1866) under the title "Private Record of Sericulture"
and distributed far and wide to share these benefits with everyone,
but after the Restoration the calendar changed and times progressed, and accordingly my discoveries
have also been considerable. Therefore, I have now made it into two volumes.
One Although there have been many sericulture books in the past, they lack sections on mulberry cultivation, so people

regret their incompleteness. Now this volume supplements those deficiencies, and
there are also many elaborations on the explanations in the Private Record. This aims to complete what was
incomplete and bring together the entire scope of sericulture,
which is why I title it "Complete Book." I do not mean to surpass others and show off my private views, claiming
eternal infallibility and boasting of the perfection of my theories.
