現代語訳
一、十二月十日、寒中につき、ご機嫌をお伺いするため使者として周防伊左衛門（佐賢）を江戸表に派遣し、お魚一種を献上した。伊左衛門は今日福井を出立した。
（ただし同月二十五日に返書をお渡しいただいた）
一、同月十五日、寒中につき、お手紙をもって例の通り、御国の名産品である一番の生鱈を献上した。
一、同月十八日
大炊様が登城なされたところ、老中が列座し、四品の位を仰せ出され、大炊頭昌尚様と称されることとなった。
一、同月二十八日
昌尚様が四品を仰せ出された御礼として、使者である奏者番の酒井彦六（元脩）を江戸表に派遣した。今日福井を出立した。
（ただし彦六の江戸到着日は不明、正月十日に返書をお渡しいただいた）
一、同日、頼母（近憲）様の叙爵を仰せ出された御礼として、江戸表に使者を派遣した。
一、同月二十九日、歳暮の祝儀として使者をもって例の通り小袖を献上し、御台様、桂昌院様には白銀を差し上げた。
英語訳
1. On the 10th day of the 12th month, due to the cold season, an envoy named Suo Izaemon (Saken) was dispatched to Edo to inquire about [the shogun's] well-being, and one type of fish was presented. Izaemon departed from Fukui today.
(However, a reply letter was received on the 25th of the same month)
1. On the 15th day of the same month, due to the cold season, fresh cod, the finest local product of the domain, was presented with a letter as usual.
1. On the 18th day of the same month:
Lord Ōi made his appearance at the castle, where the senior councilors were assembled, and he was granted the fourth court rank and came to be called Lord Ōi-no-kami Masanao.
1. On the 28th day of the same month:
As gratitude for Lord Masanao being granted the fourth rank, an envoy, the master of ceremonies Sakai Hikoroku (Motoshū), was dispatched to Edo. He departed from Fukui today.
(However, the date of Hikoroku's arrival in Edo is unknown; a reply letter was received on the 10th of the first month)
1. On the same day, as gratitude for Lord Tanomo (Chikanori) being granted court rank, an envoy was dispatched to Edo.
1. On the 29th day of the same month, for year-end felicitations, kosode robes were presented through an envoy as usual, and silver was offered to the Shogun's wife and Keishōin.
