Item: Concerning the bequest portion of the father (the late Higashi Ichisei) of Ōkemonmono Ujikane's wife, the woman Otora — because there were no children, a child from another family was adopted as an heir, and the estate was not returned to the main family (the current Higashi Ichisei), but was instead transferred to the adopted daughter, Ohisa.
Item: The widow of the late Shikibu-no-taifu Yasumutsu was the younger sister of Jibu-no-taifu Yasutomo. The widow was not pleased with the (previously designated) adopted child, removed five koku from the bequest, and instead designated Yasutomo's daughter as the adopted heir, transferring (the estate) to her. To this day, another family holds and manages it.
The above is what I recall, roughly speaking, of such cases, and I have recorded them as such.
In addition to the above——
Item: An aunt (perhaps) of Hyōbu-no-shōyū Mitsuhisa married the father of Tsuji Shuzensuke. They had one child, but the child predeceased the mother. The mother transferred (her portion) to Shuzensuke, who then sold it to another family.
Item: The adopted heir to the direct succession post (chokusekishoku) of the late Hyōe (Asano) was a child of someone from Kyoto. All of the family's landholdings were transferred to the woman Ohisa, who then married Daigakusuke Suetomo, and (the holdings) passed to that family.
The 15th day: A meeting (yoriai) was held. Concerning the dispute between Oribe-no-shō and Tonomo-no-kami, a formal written statement (kōjōgaki) from the shrine community was completed. This was because the matter could not be resolved through private mediation. (The contents of) that written statement (follow——)
