右（の鍵筥の記録）は、四月二十七日より五月二十七日まで、（私が）預かり置いた。
翌月、奉行・兵部権大輔季有へ渡し了（おわ）んぬ。
右、延宝七年中、当社造営・遷宮の間（あいだ）の記録は、貴布祢祝（きふねはふり）氏の長子、従四位下・氏侍（うじざむらい）の日記なり。余、電覧（でんらん）のついでに、たちまち禿筆（とくひつ）を走らせ、臨写（りんしゃ）せしめたる所なり。後昆（こうこん）は容易に他見を許すことなかれ。

The above (record of the locked boxes) was kept in my custody from the 27th day of the 4th month until the 27th day of the 5th month.
The following month, it was duly handed over to the magistrate (bugyō), Hyōbu-no-gonno-taifu Sueyū.
The foregoing record, compiled during the reconstruction and shrine-transfer ceremonies (zōei and sengū) at this shrine in the seventh year of Enpō (1679), is the diary of the eldest son of the Kifune Shrine priest (Kifune-hafuri) clan, a person of Junior Fourth Rank Lower Grade (Jushii-ge) serving as an uji-zamurai (clan retainer). I happened to peruse it briefly and, on the spot, hastily set my worn brush to paper to make this transcribed copy. Descendants and posterity must not lightly permit others to view this document.
