一、貴船の総掃除および古材木の取り除きのため、保守氏侍（保守の氏侍）が二十日に上る（貴船へ向かう）件
二十日 夕方、貴船奥社辺りの総掃除のために上る。
二十一日 紫竹村の者と当所の者、合わせて十四人が上る。石垣の損傷した箇所を積み直し、地形の捨て石等をすべて取り直す。
今夜は雨風が激しい。
二十二日 同前（同様の作業を行う）。造畢（工事完了）し、奉行衆は帰京する。昨夜の雨風により
聖神寺の土手後方が流失・損壊する。
二十三日 今日まで三日間、貴船の普請（工事）を行う。
二十四日 地蔵参りとして人々が参詣する。
二十五日 この頃、小番（こばん）の欠点（欠勤・不参）の件につき、公家衆四人が閉門（謹慎処分）とのことである。竹屋殿、鷲尾殿、山科殿、もう一人は（名前不明）。
二十六日 講所において、権社（かりのやしろ）の古殿（旧社殿）を講所へ引き移し、もとのように建立して鎮壇（地鎮）のために入札を行う。大工・長左衛門へ（落札）五百八十匁。この権社の撤却（解体・撤去）および講所への造立（新造）の奉行は豊（以下次ページへ続く）。

Item: For the general cleaning at Kibune and the removal of old timber, the Hoshu ujizamurai (保守氏侍, retainer of the Hoshu clan) is to go up (to Kibune) on the twentieth.
20th: In the evening, went up to the area of the inner shrine (奥社) at Kibune for a general cleaning.
21st: Fourteen people in total went up — people from Shichiku Village (紫竹村) and people from this place. They rebuilt the damaged sections of the stone wall, and entirely redressed the foundation stones and rubble stones.
Tonight the rain and wind are fierce.
22nd: Same as before. Construction was completed, and the magistrates (奉行衆) returned to Kyoto. Due to last night's rain and wind,
the embankment at the rear of Hijiri Jinja (聖神寺) suffered flood damage.
23rd: Through today, three days of construction work at Kibune were carried out.
24th: People came to visit for the Jizō pilgrimage (地蔵参り).
25th: Around this time, regarding absences from the kobан (小番, a scheduled duty rotation), four members of the court nobility (公家衆) are under house confinement (閉門). They are: Lord Takeya (竹屋殿), Lord Washio (鷲尾殿), Lord Yamashina (山科殿), and one more (name not recorded).
26th: At the lecture hall (講所), the old sanctuary building of the temporary shrine (権社) was moved to the lecture hall site and rebuilt as it originally stood. Bids were invited for the chindan (鎮壇, ritual ground-pacification) ceremony. The contract was awarded to carpenter Chōzaemon (長左衛門) for 580 monme (匁). The superintendent (奉行) for both the dismantling of this temporary shrine and its reconstruction at the lecture hall was Toyo— (continues on next page).
