Among the shrine officials (社司), the acting representative (名代) and chief celebrant (正祝) Shigotoyo was placed on mourning leave, as his aunt had passed away around the 7th of the month. A servant was summoned from the Konoe household to serve as substitute (Uneme Shigeyoshi).
The substitute for the Shingu Shrine celebrant (新宮祝) was his younger brother ■Hisa. The clan attendants (氏人) assigned by unit were as follows:
1st unit: Daikamotsu Ujikane
2nd unit: Oribeshō Yasuyoshi
3rd unit: Ukyōsuke Yasuta
4th unit: Umasuke Kiyotsugu
5th unit: Hatsūichishō Fukuhisa
6th unit: Nuidonosuke Sueyuki
7th unit: Daizensin Ikken
8th unit: Kōzunosuke Ujiharu
9th unit: Sakonshōgen Ujimichi
10th unit: Mokukongonnosuke Suetsū
On the day of the ceremony, the shrine officials are to wear formal court dress (束帯) with a large outer robe (大帷子) with red collar underneath.
However, the wearing of court dress by shrine officials is based on an instruction transmitted through the imperial liaison (伝奏). During the Kan'ei era, informal court dress (衣冠) and the ceremonial white robe (千早) were worn; this time as well, those in the five official roles (五官) are to wear the千早.
11th day, rainy: All those in retreat (参籠) are to visit the shrine daily without exception, performing one circuit around the shrine. This is in preparation for the formal shrine relocation ceremony (正遷宮) scheduled for the 16th of this month.
12th day, clear: The following day, the sacred treasures (御神宝) are to be displayed for public viewing at the Ofuda Hall (御札屋). Today, the treasures were moved from the head priest's residence to the Shinpō Hall, and also placed in the administrative hall (庁屋), the Takakura, and other locations. The instructions for the relocation ceremony (遷宮伝授) were conveyed to the two individuals: the deputy celebrant Shigeyoshi (権祝重栄) and the clan deity celebrant Sakunao (氏神祝作直).
13th day, clear: The viewing of the sacred treasures (御神宝) was held at the Ofuda Hall.
