申候ハ何様七家之寄合仕一統ニ返事可申也此旨
未聞間先今日者仕間敷也仍而入夜新補社司衆
又寄合有之而神主亭へ保家佐直為使者被参
無別儀候哉如何被相尋候神主返事云弥八社義ハ
八社祠官トメ迁宮可被成也毛頭相替儀無之
五日晴少曇少雨 午老若寄合三手若衆
打混寄合也沙汰人披露云正迁宮之儀八社ノ
祠官各面々ノ社可有迁宮□七家ノ衆同心候
内々御肝煎忝存候ト得新補中之被仰下也 次
社頭棚尾社ノ向ノ小階ヲ取放向後ハ中門ニ
几帳ヲ掛参詣人々御前ニ参度被存候者ハ自新
宮社前廻テ御上可有之也自他所之人々ニハ棚
尾社前ヨリ拝而下向可有之也若又尊前近辺へ
参度存者ニハ東ゟ廻テ参候様ニ当番衆御教可
被成之旨也 次今度勘例森家ゟ出トノ風聞
無用之由也
現代語訳
申されましたには、「いずれにせよ七家の寄合を行い、一統として返事を申すべきである。この旨をまだ聞いていないので、まず今日はその件を行うべきではない」とのことでした。そこで夜になって、新補社司衆がまた寄合を行い、神主の屋敷へ保家佐直（やすいえさなお）を使者として遣わし、「別条ありませぬか、いかがでしょうか」と尋ねさせました。神主の返事として言うには、「やはり八社の義は、八社の祠官とともに遷宮を行うべきである。毛頭相違はない」とのことでした。
五日、晴れ、少し曇り、少し雨。午（うま）の刻に老若の寄合と三手の若衆が入り混じって集まりました。沙汰人が披露して言うには、「正遷宮の儀は、八社の祠官がそれぞれ面々の社において遷宮を行うべきである。七家の衆も同心いたしました。内々のお肝煎り（お骨折り）、忝（かたじけ）なく存じますと、新補の中への仰せ下しです。」
次に、社頭の棚尾社の向かい側の小階（こばし）を取り外し、向後は中門に几帳（きちょう）を掛け、参詣の人々が御前に参りたいと思う場合は、新宮社前を廻ってお上りになるようにすること。他所よりの人々は棚尾社前から拝礼して帰るようにすること。若しまた、尊前の近辺へ参りたいと思う者には、東から廻って参るようにと、当番の衆がお教えになるようにとの旨でした。
次に、今度の勘例（かんれい）は森家より出されたとの風聞は、無用である（そのような噂は立てるべきでない）とのことでした。

It was stated that: "In any case, the seven families should convene an assembly and provide a unified reply. Since this matter has not yet been communicated, for today it should not be carried out." Therefore, that evening, the newly appointed shrine officials (shinpo shashi) held another meeting, and sent Yasie Sanao as a messenger to the shrine superintendent's residence to inquire, "Is there anything amiss? How do matters stand?" The shrine superintendent replied: "In accordance with what has been said, the affair of the eight shrines should proceed with the eight shrines' shrine officials performing the Sengū rite together. There is absolutely no difference in this regard."
5th day: clear, slightly cloudy, slight rain. At the Hour of the Horse (noon), there was a combined assembly of both senior and junior members, and the three groups of junior members all gathered together. The administrator (satanin) made the following announcement: "Regarding the ceremony of the formal Sengū, each of the eight shrine officials shall conduct the Sengū at their respective shrines. The members of the seven families have given their consent. We are deeply grateful for your discreet efforts on this matter—this is the message conveyed to the newly appointed officials."
Next, concerning the layout of the shrine precinct: the small steps (kobashi) facing the Tanao Shrine at the shrine grounds were to be removed, and henceforth a kichō (hanging curtain) was to be placed at the middle gate (chūmon). Those worshippers who wished to approach the divine presence directly should proceed by going around in front of the New Shrine (Shingū-sha). Visitors from other places should offer their worship from in front of the Tanao Shrine before departing. Furthermore, should anyone wish to approach the vicinity of the sacred presence, the shrine official on duty was instructed to guide them to proceed around from the east.
Next, it was stated that the rumor that the precedent references (kanrei) produced on this occasion came from the Mori family is entirely uncalled for (i.e., such rumors should not be spread).
