As this matter is also considered most reasonable, it has been decided that the current assembly will formally call a halt to it, and this is regarded as a matter of particular importance. Should anyone naturally come forward at a later date with objections, we shall dispatch someone from our side to address the matter, so please be aware of this arrangement. Furthermore, since the Mori family has in its possession numerous old documents (hogo) pertaining to this matter, and since the formal ceremony of the Sengū (shrine relocation rite) at this shrine is forthcoming, anyone wishing to inspect them is welcome to visit at any time, and all documents will be made available for viewing. The provisional officers (kari no mono) of the seven families and others should also come, even if it is as soon as tomorrow.
Next, an account was given by a certain person, as follows: "The provisional Sengū procedure as set forth by the shrine superintendent Yasumori is entirely at odds with the records of the Mori family, and there is reportedly great resentment over this (the following character is unclear). I have regarded this as heading toward a major conflict from the outset; at present, it remains a minor dispute. In connection with this provisional Sengū ceremony, there are matters for which there is no precedent from ancient times, and if one were to say that something both exists and does not exist as a matter of record, there would indeed be arguments to be made."
The above account constitutes the reply from Tsushima-no-Kami. Thereupon, each person having duly heard and acknowledged the matter, it was announced and conveyed to the administrator (satanin) Genban'suke Ujiyuki that the gathering of both senior and junior members and the gathering of the junior members alone should be combined into one and that the announcement should be made therein.
4th day, clear. This morning, when the events of the previous evening were conveyed to the administrators (satanin), the three administrators conferred and said: "At the assembly held two days ago, the Senior Hōri (shō-hōri)..."
